VMO Kalista Red 6 reaches far beyond expectations!

Wilder Kalibra RDC VG-87, in the pedigree of the new NVI topper
With an outstanding gNVI of +441, VMO Kalista Red 6 has secured a place among the very best Red & White genomic heifers in the Netherlands & Flanders. The young Kanu 111 RDC descendant combines exceptional production potential (+3,703 kg milk) with 682 INET, strong health traits and a well-balanced conformation profile.
Recently, we featured VMO Louisa Red, which was recently reclassified. That young first calver cow is part of the paternaline behind Kalista Red 6, once again demonstrating the strength of this cow family. Adding to the story, Kalista Red 6 is sired by the homebred natural service sire VMO 8990 RDC, making this success a true achievement of the herd's own breeding program.
Through her maternal line, Kalista Red 6 traces back to the world-renowned Wilder Kanu cow family, one of the most influential Red & White families in European breeding. This family has already produced several internationally recognized AI sires, including Baymax Red, Matt RF, and Jalibo, and is renowned for combining high genomic values with excellent production and conformation.
Her dam, VMO Klaske Red GP-84, completed a first lactation of 9,460 kg milk with 4.33% fat and 3.57% protein. Behind her follow Louisa Red, Kalista P Red GP-81, Kimba Red GP-83, and ultimately the proven Wilder Kanu family, reflecting generations of outstanding breeding values and consistent performance.
With her exceptional gNVI, elite production genetics and the combination of a homebred AI sire and a globally proven cow family, VMO Kalista Red 6 has all the credentials to become an important female for the future of Red & White breeding.
