First-ever offering from GGA Holsteins at VOST Select Sale

The upcoming VOST Select Sale 14 will feature a special highlight: for the first time ever, two heifers from the herd of renowned German genomic breeder Fritz Giesmann of GGA Holsteins will be offered for sale. This marks an exciting first for the sale, bringing two outstanding individuals from one of Germany’s prominent breeding programs into the spotlight.
Both young heifers descend from the influential GGA Joy VG-85 (s. Superhero) family and share the same granddam, GGA Jin PP RDC (Cartoon P Red). Their combination of genomic potential and sought-after genetic traits makes this family a particularly interesting addition to this year’s offer.
One of the highlights is GGA Jumpstart PP RDC, a homozygous polled heifer carrying the red factor. Born in March 2026, she combines these desirable traits with an impressive genomic profile, including 154 gRZG & 343 gNVI.
Joining her is GGA Jessica P, a rare polled daughter of Major Tom x Metcalf x Jin PP RDC with an outstanding 149 gRZG. She represents another exciting branch of the same family, adding further depth to the GGA Holsteins offering.
The arrival of these two heifers at VOST Select Sale 14 is a milestone for the sale, as animals from GGA Holsteins have never been offered at a sale before. Their debut provides an exclusive first look at the breeding work of Fritz Giesmann and offers a taste of the quality and genetic diversity to look forward to in this year’s catalogue.
