Tirsvad's Mona-Lisa P produces top two NTM$ bulls

After the December 2025 index run, the success story of Tirsvad Genetics continues with full force. Not only the number 1 NTM$ genomics bull, but also the number 2, originates from the herd of Søren Ernst Madsen. This appears to be no coincidence: both bulls are sons of Tirsvad Freewood Mona-Lisa P VG-86, the Freewood P daughter of Tirsvad 3STAR Simon Mojito P EX-91.
VH Mads P (Mecanico) already made history in April as the highest NTM$ bull ever—and polled as well. Two index runs later, he has maintained his position impressively; with only a one-point drop, he still records 48 NTM$ in December.
Yet it was celebration time once again for breeder Madsen. His newest standout, VH Sheriff (Owen)—a maternal-brother to Mads P—broke all records. With no less than 51 NTM$, Sheriff convincingly tops the Scandinavian rankings. Both bulls excel in fertility and longevity, while Sheriff additionally shows strong udder health and posts an impressive index of 137 for milk.
The maternal line through Mona-Lisa P VG-86 and granddam Mojito P EX-91 traces back to the joint purchase by Madsen & GenHotel: Pen-Col Superhero Mistral EX-91. This cow family has now built a strong reputation for delivering AI sires. Mistral herself produced no fewer than five AI bulls, including the proven sires Tirsvad 3STAR Mumbai P and Tirsvad K&L Mingus. Her female descendants also continue the success, with grandsons 3STAR OH Megarun RC at Semex Hungary and De Oosterhof 3STAR Megastar, achieving overseas success at Genus/ABS.
