Simply Red daughters continue to dominate Red Holstein rankings

The April index run once again brought movement to the top rankings of gNVI-tested heifer calves. Several newcomers immediately caused shifts at the top of both the Holstein and Red Holstein rankings. At the same time, many familiar names continue to prove their consistency by maintaining strong positions within the top 100 for an extended period.
Among the Holstein heifer calves, the new leader is the VH Sitron daughter Delta Juultsje RDC. With an impressive 500 gNVI, she convincingly tops the rankings and marks the first time in quite a while that the Holstein number one scores higher than the leader of the Red-list. Juultsje RDC’s sire Sitron has now led the NVI rankings for milk and INET transmission for several consecutive index runs. The new number one reflects these qualities with outstanding figures of 2885 kg milk and 767 INET.
The highest-ranked Holstein calf bred by a GenHotel member is WKF Harmony Malou 2. This T-Spruce Harmony daughter scores 446 gNVI. At her first preliminary gNVI release in October 2025, she immediately claimed the number one position and has since secured herself firmly in sixth place. The Maybelline Tual VG-85 descendant also tests 151 gRZG and, with 3216 gTPI, ranks among the highest Harmony daughters in Europe. Her profile further shows outstanding overall figures, including 110 UGH, 110 CGT, 2,184 kg milk, +0.26% fat, 740 INET, and 898 LVD.

Grand dam to Malou 2: 3STAR OH Maline VG-85
WKF Holsteins also produced a standout from the Vekis Xaco Melody VG-87 family. WKF Melania 4 RDC has remained among the top-ranked calves since the summer of 2025. With 440 gNVI, 2,933 kg milk, 1,088 LVD, and 113 UGH, she remains the highest Koepon Sirius P Red daughter for gNVI.
The highest homozygous polled heifer calf is Delta Lorena PP RDC, a daughter of Delta Cream P-Red. She scores 462 gNVI. At some distance follows 3STAR Amber 6000 PP RDC (Strand PP Red x Skat P RDC) with 423 gNVI. This November 2025-born descendant from Amber PP Red VG-86 ranks among the highest homozygous polled daughters of the German sire Strand PP Red with 150 gRZG. In addition, Amber 6000 shows impressive milk transmission with 2,849 kg milk.
One of the highest INET transmitters from the GenHotel program is 3STAR OH Lina, bred by De Oosterhof and GenHotel. With 768 INET, 402 gNVI, 154 gRZG, and 3242 gTPI, this Metcalf daughter belongs to the absolute top of her generation.
Within the Red rankings, the daughters of Koepon Simply Red remain strongly represented. No less than 15% of the top 100 consists of daughters from the Koepon-bred sire, clearly establishing him as the dominant supplier within the rankings.
The highest-ranking Simply Red daughter remains 3STAR HWH Bibby Red. Although she lost her number one position during the April index run, she still holds third place with 478 gNVI. With 815 INET, she also ranks as the number two within the entire Red Holstein population.

Dam to Bibby Red: 3STAR HWH Biba P RDC VG-86
The partnership between Alsgårds Lantbruk and GenHotel produced 3STAR AS Sunsim Red, born in November 2024. This Apina Massia daughter debuted in March 2025 directly as the number two gNVI overall. The Simply Red daughter from Wilder Suntime 1 Red GP-84 currently ranks sixth with 452 gNVI. With an irreversible 1314 LVD, Sunsim may also claim the title of best longevity transmitter.
Diepenhoek Holsteins also bred a notable standout: Diepenhoek Sharon 7 Red. This Elevate Red x Cartoon P Red tests 427 gNVI. Her dam, 3STAR SIE Sharon Red VG-86, was purchased by the Adriaans family during the SonderKollektion 2023 and is now in her second lactation. Sharon Red now has around twenty descendants worldwide, of which Sharon 7 Red currently records the highest gNVI. Her Fashion P Red half-sister also posts strong figures with 156 gRZG and 364 gNVI.
The highest gNVI-tested heifer calf at Zandenburg Holsteins remains Zandenburg Simply Fabiola Red with 446 gNVI. This Simply Red daughter has certainly earned her place in the NVI rankings. Coming from the farm’s own Fabiola cow family, Fabiola Red currently holds ninth place on the list and has already been part of the top Red rankings for nearly a year.
