Drouner Holsteins hits the Reserve Holland Herd cHampionship

After the success of the previous edition, the Holland Holstein cHampionship was organized again this year. Breeders competed for the 'Best Herdgroup', a uniform group consisting of three top dairy cows. Participating GenHotel members Knoef and Albring exhibited both a B&W group of three cows. In addition to the HHH competition, the Dutch Young Breeders also organized a virtual competition.

From a total of 8 B&W herd groups, the Albring family, Drouner Holsteins, won the reserve title. The winning group was the trio of Giessen Holsteins.

At the Young Breeders competition, the conformation of the heifer calves and >1-yr-olds was judged. Participating were Gert Bakker with his own bred BJH MV Emma Red (by Lindenright Moovin RDC) and Rens Bakker with Swissbec Power Red daughter Batouwe Goldpower P Red. In the oldest category we also find R&B WR Maxima Red, owned by Roubos Holsteins and Batouwe Holsteins and showed by Arjan Roubos. Maxima Red, a Mr Blondin Warrior-Red out of ViG My Love Red VG-86 took the leading position in her class. Because of her dairy strength and great balance, the judge picked her as Senior Heifer Champion!
