A remarkable show week for Van het Zomerbloemhof

Van het Zomerbloemhof (the Lahousse family) looks back on an exceptionally successful week in the show ring. At two major Belgian dairy shows, homebred cows claimed multiple championship titles and once again demonstrated the strength of their breeding course. Particularly impressive was the success of the striking white Riveting daughter Panzul, who returned home with several titles within just one week.

The first success came at the dairy show in Wulpen, where the nearly six-year-old Panzul v/h Zomerbloemhof (Riveting x Magictouch) won the Senior Cow class before going on to capture the Grand Champion title. Panzul traces back to the renowned Rabur Outside Pandora cow family.

Also representing Van het Zomerbloemhof in Wulpen was the nine-year-old Madelijn v/h Zomerbloemhof RDC VG-88. Last year, the Apoll P Red daughter from the famous Regancrest-PR Barbie family surpassed the remarkable milestone of 100,000 kg of lifetime milk production in record time. Her lifetime production has now exceeded 132,000 kg of milk. In recognition of this outstanding achievement, Madelijn received a special welcome in Wulpen and was honoured with the 'Rendementsprijs'.

Less than a week later, Van het Zomerbloemhof celebrated another outstanding result at the provincial dairy show in Bogaarden. Here, Roxy v/h Zomerbloemhof EX-91 (German Boy x Topnotch) was crowned Grand Champion and also received the mention for Best Udder. The five-year-old, bred from the renowned Glenridge Citation Roxy cow family, once again demonstrated her exceptional combination of dairy strength, outstanding conformation and production.

Panzul also travelled to Bogaarden following her success in Wulpen. There, she added yet another victory to her impressive week by claiming the Reserve Senior Champion title.

Winning two Grand Championships at two different shows within a single week once again highlights Van het Zomerbloemhof's passion for dairy breeding. The achievements of both Roxy and Panzul underline the herd's ability to breed cows that combine longevity, high production and excellent conformation. Together with the 132.000 kgM producer Madelijn, they showcase the strength and consistency of the Van het Zomerbloemhof breeding program.
