Dellia breeds well in Red too!

The Southland Dellia family is popular with international AI-studs for some decennia and has many bulls in AI. This cow family is originally descending from the USA and came to Europe through import of Southwind embryos out of the great brood cow Dix-Jim Chairman Bess VG-85.

Several years ago Anderstrup Holsteins in Denemarken bought Aikman RDC embryos from the GenHotel breeding program out of Manders Dellia 8 GP-84, also dam of high genomic young sire  K&L Cidre at RUW. The Aikman embryos resulted in Anderstrup Aikman Dellia RDC VG-89, the highest producing 2-year-old in Denmark in 2017.

Dellia RDC is the dam of Anderstrup Nugget Dana-Red VG-88, a well balanced Willsbro Nugget RDC daughter with a firm attached udder. And also Dana-Red is a great producer (>50 kgs/day!) and projected at (305 days) 14.855 kg milk with 5.2% fat and 3.7% protein.

Dana-Red is flushed as a heifer a few times and has several sons at AI-studs, including Pace-Red sons Anderstrup Panders-Red at Qnetics and Anderstrup Redfox at Intermizoo. Their full sister Anderstrup Delaja-Red is sold at the Zukunft Rind 2019 sale for 10.000 euros and is now owned by Bouw Holsteins. An other full sister, K&L PC Deltia-Red, scores just like Delaja-Red 156 gRZG and is owned by Dykster Holsteins & GenHotel. They belong to the 7 highest (of over 1500 genomic tested) Pace-Red daughters on the German base. Both heifers are flushed already for embryo contracts of seveal German AI-studs.
