Koepon Simply Red dominates gNVI rankings

Koepon Simply Red is emerging as a groundbreaking Red bull in Holstein breeding, known for his all-around capabilities. He begins his journey as a young genomic bull with becoming the number one gRZG Interbull red bull in August 2024. He also ranks first in the gPLI rankings with red bulls and boasts an excellent gTPI score as well. While we still lack information about Simply Red's gNVI, several young daughters are now showing up on the gNVI lists, quickly climbing to the top positions.

This striking red bull (Otezla-P RC x GP-84 Sputnik RDC), bred by Koepon, was acquired by Genus/ABS due to his remarkable gPLI potential. After he was used, the results followed promptly, leading to his use in various breeding programs. Simply Red's first European offspring were born at the beginning of this year. Notably, the combination of Simply Red x Rammstein Red produced 3STAR HWH Britt P Red, which became the top seller at the Sunrise Sale 2025. She has maintained the number one position for polled, red and white in terms of RZG and NVI since April.

This week marked an exciting milestone for Koepon as their first Simply daughters received their NVI scores. Leading the pack is Koepon Simply Range 436 Red, boasting an impressive score of 506 gNVI. This remarkable heifer, a product of the successful Simply-Red x Fred Red P pairing, claims the 3rd position on the total R&W gNVI list. Hot on her heels is Koepon Simply Range 434 Red, by Simply-Red x Arizona, with a solid score of 483 gNVI. Not to be overlooked, Simply Range 435 Red, the full sister of Simply Range 436 Red, shines with a score of 452 gNVI. With these outstanding newcomers, the top 5 of the red gNVI list is dominated by Simply Red daughters, underscoring their exceptional genetics! Additionally, from the combination of Simply-Red x Arizona, Koepon bred a promising red-factor heifer calf, Koepon Simply Range 437 RDC, achieving a commendable score of 447 gNVI, placing her at the 3rd position of all B&W's.
