K&L purchases part in +2706 GTPI Delta daughter

K&L has purchased a 50% share in Dukefarm Delta Havelange, bred by Herman D’Hauwe (Dukefarm Holsteins). There was a lot of interest to buy Havelange, the #21 GTPI in Europe, but Dukefarm decided to accept the offer of K&L to start a collaboration. Havelange will now be moved to the Netherlands where she will be prepared to enter K&L’s flush programme.

High genomics

The dam to Havelange (s. Mr Mogul Delta 1427) is Cookiecutter Ssire Have, a VG-86 classified Supersire daughter of Cookiecutter MOM Halo VG-88 (Man O Man x VG-88 Goldwyn x EX-90 Champion x EX-90 Hershel x EX-90 Rudolph x VG-88 Bell Elton (full sister to Durham) x Snow-N Denises Dellia EX-95). This branch of the Dellia-dynasty is all about high genomics and Havelange has several full- and half-sisters in the top GTPI list.

TPI-programme

Havelange is the second heifer that is bought by K&L for her TPI-programme at short notice. Last week K&L invested, together with Melkveebedrijf De Oosterhof, in Maybelline Tual, a +2702 GTPI Rubicon daughter (see: De Oosterhof and K&L invest in top GTPI heifer).
