JU Holsteins reigned at IJsselvallei 2025

Ju Lonia 360 named Red 2-yr-old Champion
During the IJsselvallei 2025, the dairy cows from JU Holsteins dominated the Red Holstein ring, resulting in a JU-trio of winning 2-yr-olds.
Uenk participated in this annual show with a large number of home bred dairy cows. The day got off to an excellent start, with young 2-yr-olds from Uenk's herd taking the top two positions in bothRed Holstein Junioer 2-yr-old categories. In the youngest category, Cycle Mcgucci Jordy daughter Ju Dora 619 won, followed by Ju Lonia 362 (by Power). The judges described the young Jordy daughter as a top performer and named Lonia 362 the one wiht the best udder in this category.

Both leading 2-yr-old in the subsequent category are from the Lonia family and held on tight. Thanks to the better udder, Ju Lonia 360 (by Jordy-Red) ultimately won her class over Diplom Red daughter Ju Lonia 352. The finals saw a thrilling finale, with the two Jordy daughters taking the title. Ju Lonia 360 emerged victorious, followed by the class winner of the youngest class, Ju Dora 619.

With four senior cows, Uenk was also among the participants of cows of five-year-olds and older. Tim daughter Ju Lonia 301 won her class, and her udder received special praise. In the following class, Ju S Coba 10 by Manpower finished second. Once again, the Lonia family struck gold. Ju Lonia 301 was named Reserve Champion of Older Cows.

Uenk also achieved success in the Holstein ring. Actor-Red daughter Ju Lonia 367 won the youngest category for first calvers. After two categories filled with high class animals, the final began. In the championship, this young milker from Uenk received the honorable mention.
