GenHotel members excel at thrilling HHH-sHow!

For many GenHotel members, one of the highlights of the year arrived last week: the HHH sHow. Several participants traveled with their young heifers and dairy cow to compete for the coveted titles, achieving excellent placings and championships.

The national show began on Friday with the Young Breeders competitions, which featured judging of clipping, showmanship, and the conformation by an international jury. In the Senior Conformation category, the Barolo daughter Drouner Sublima 2097, owned by the Albring family, participated in one of the oldest classes. This great granddaughter of the international top cow Blondin Goldwyn Subliminale EX-97 impressed the jury and won her class.

In a thrilling final, Drouner Sublima 2097, who will turn two in January, continued her success. She was crowned Champion and subsequently named Grand Champion of the Junior show. This was a fantastic victory for this promising Barolo x VG-85 Maker EX-90 Raptor x Subliminale EX-97.

Saturday was the day of the individual milking classes, herd groups, and presentations of four daughter groups. The day began with a class of 2-yr-old Holsteins. In the youngest class, Sublima, who calved at just 1.10 years old, was presented. Notably, Sublima is the full sister of the Grand Champion of the Junior Show on Friday! This pitch-black, freshly calved 2-yr-old took first place in her class, qualifying for the finals with this achievement.

In the Red Holstein show, Big Super Star 203, a first calver Rovelli-Red daughter calved in February and owned by the Knoef family, achieved third place. Big Super Star 203 is a direct descendant of the EX-91 Big Super Star 146 RDC Malki daughter, making her a member of the lineage that includes Big Winner and Big Redstar, among others.

After three classes for Holstein first calvers and two Red Holstein classes, the first championship of the day was held. In a thrilling finish, the oldest dairy heifer from the Bons family, Bons-Holsteins Roza 85, was declared Champion, with the very young Barolo daughter from the Albring family taking the Reserve Champion title!

On Friday evening, November 28th, during the VOST Select Sale, embryos from Blondin Success EX-90 will be offered. She is the Raptor granddam of the Junior Grand Champion Drouner Sublima 2097 and of the Reserve Champion Drouner Sublima! The embryos were produced using sexed Kings-Ransom Dropbox. Click here!

The intermediate classes delivered even more highlights. The recently EX-scored Alligator daughter Drouner Cosmo 1836 (owned by Albring) placed second, followed by Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2679 (by R Viano), owned by the De Jong family, in third place.

In the next class, New Moore A342 Dina389, the Reserve Intermediate Champion of the Rundvee Show Noord 2025, made an impression at the national level as well. The Tatoo daughter from the Withaar-Prent family placed second in her class, just behind the eventual Intermediate Reserve Champion!

For the championship best Herds Group several breeders entered the ring with their groups, providing an excellent opportunity to promote their herds and breeding strategy. The Albring family secured a fantastic Reserve Championship with their three-headed group.

In the senior classes, the competition was intense. Nevertheless, NRP Awesome Amberlee, owned by Norwin Piet, distinguished herself within the Red Holstein ring. The fifth calver Awesome daughter from the Aiko's, placed third in the second class.

Cows with a lifetime production of over 75,000 kgM received special recognition. This category also included the eighth calver, Big Delta Anecy 1 (Solero x Janos). With a lifetime production exceeding 133,000 kg to date, she was recognized as having the highest lifetime production at this show day, achieving a third-place finish in her class.
