Peak Powerhouse, #2 TPI proven sires USA
In the US, the April 2026 breeding values for bulls were published this week. The April 2026 TPI formula includes a revision of the relative weightings of PTA protein and PTA fat, increasing the weighting of protein from 19 to 24 and decreasing fat from 19 to 14. This adjustment reflects current and future trends in milk prices, with greater economic value being attributed to protein yields.
Proven sires
The leader of the list among the black-and-white daughterproven bulls is, just like in December, OCD Trooper Sheepster, despite a drop of 92 points TPI. His production proof is now based on 2359 milking daughters (was 444), resulting in 3480 TPI. Number 2 in the ranking is now Peak Powerhouse (AltaWheelhouse x AltaZazzle), who comes from place 9 via an increase of 119 points. SDG-PH Delux Dominance (Delux x Pursuit) maintains himself in 3rd place with 3437 TPI. Again in the top 5 is La-Ca-De-Le T Isaac 8731 (Taos x Langley), who in addition to 3396 TPI also scores +2.07 PTAT and +1.47 FLC. New in the top 5 is Peak Momento (Molino x Pursuit), with very favourable breeding values for udder health and longevity and 3360 TPI. Terra-Calroy Zuri (AltaZazzle x Tahiti), owned by CRV, has added almost 1000 daughters since his first proof in April 2025 (now 1283 lactating daughters) and maintains himself well in the top 10, with +1.81 PTAT and +1.08 FLC. The number 2 of December, SDG Cap Garza (Captain x Josuper), has dropped 139 points TPI this proof run and is now in 8th place.
The highest polled breeding bull with 3187 TPI is FB 8084 Adebayo P (Monument P x Resolve), a descendant of Unique-Style Bolton Money EX-93. In the top 100 TPI, AOT Parfect Harmony (Parfect x Positive) is the highest bull for conformation: he scores +2.16 PTAT (3197 TPI).
High genomic young sires
Progenesis Timetraveler (Torchlight x Dominance) now occupies the top spot among the high young bulls. He is a far descendant of MS Welcome Colby Taya VG-88 and scores 3563 gTPI, mainly due to his extremely high components proof. He is closely followed by S-S-I Richard Chichester, who gets his TPI of 3560 more from the health traits and comes from the Snow-N-Denises Dellia EX-95 family. Highest Aurora Fargo son is Progenesis Superfreak (mgd. Sheepster), with a nice all-round profile and 3552 gTPI. The numbers 1, 2 and 3 of December, Beyond Hi-Level, Beyond Shpstr Golley, and Progenesis Watchman are now in place 8, 12 and 22 respectively.
The highest polled young bull, OCD Howland P Laugh P (Howland P x Dominance), has an almost flawless linear and scores almost 3500 gTPI.
