Koepon Splendido Lisa 29 PP, Junior Champion

On Saturday, March 7th, 2026, the Groninger Rundvee Show (GRS) took place at the HJC Manege in Tolbert. Koepon Genetics participated with a selection of top females, the so-called "GRS ladies" who had been put in top condition prior to the show.

In the first class of milking heifers, it was Koepon Woodside Range 329 RDC, the youngest heifer of the show, who managed to claim the 1B position. The fancy heifer, calved at 1.09 years old, has a sublimely attached quality udder and great feet & legs. Range 329 is a daughter of Peak AltaWoodside (AltaWheelhouse x Lionel) and of course a descendant of the phenomenal brood cow Lakeside Ups Red Range-Red VG-86, the Global Red Impact Cow 2021. During the Junior Best Udder Championship she was crowned as the heifer with the best udder of the milking heifers.

Koepon Splendido Lisa 29 PP was also in a fantastic shape during the GRS. She conquered the lead in the 3rd heifer class, had the best udder of the class and was crowned the Junior Champion in the championship final. Lisa 29 is a homozygous polled Winstar Splendido P daughter, which traces back to the well-known American brood cow Canyon-Breeze Emory August EX-92. She is classified VG-87 with VG-87 udder, bull dam and is now projected to 10,122 kgs of milk with 4.91 % fat and 3.66 % protein.

In the Intermediate class, Koepon was also well represented with several beautiful cows, including Koepon Parfect Range 112 RDC (3rd in the class), Koepon King Doc Feikje (4th) and Koepon Star Range 78 (3rd).

In the herd group collections, Koepon's group was designated as the best group in the first of the two categories.

At the heifer show, Quincy and Djayson Rijkers were the enthusiastic representatives of the Koepon Dairy Farm. Quincy achieved a nice 5th place for Showmanship in her 8 to 12 year old class and Djayson even took the 4th place for Showmanship in the 4 to 7 year olds.
