Fokveedag Oost-Gelderland brings new opportunities for Roubos Holsteins

Roubos Holsteins made a remarkable impression at the Fokveedag Oost-Gelderland last Saturday, marking Arjan Roubos's debut at this annual show. With a pair of exceptional animals from his herd, he not only participated for the first time but also returned home with great achievements in the Red Holstein competition.

The standout was the just freshened RH Unstopabull Tantrum Red (Unstopabull x Strans-Jen-D Tequila-Red EX-96). As a heifer, she was flushed multiple times and produced a substantial number of embryos, this as she was named two times Junior Champion of the Cowvalley in 2023 as well as 2024 and was crowned Maiden Heifer @Fokveedag Putten 2024. Competing in her class, this direct daughter of two-time R&W Grand Champion World Dairy Expo - Tequila Red EX-96 - secured second place thanks to her outstanding udder. As a result, Tantrum Red was named the R&W 2-yr-old Reserve Champion. During the upcoming VOST Select Sale 13 a calved, 2-yr-old maternal sister to Trantrum Red by Rompen-Red will sell!

The third calver R&B Altatop Ailene Red VG-89 participated in the intermediate R&W class and competed against daring opponents. The AltaTop daughter of Roubos was praised for her length and her well-attached udder. This granddaughter of brood cow Batouwe Salsa Aiko Red VG-85 achieved fourth place in the finals.

A week prior, RH Aiko P RDC, sired by Vogue Illustrator-P, had won the Reserve Junior Championship at the Cowvalley. Just a week later, she returned to the show ring looking magnificent. In the category for older, non-lactating animals, Aiko P RDC secured second place, finishing just behind the eventual champion. Following her success at Cowvalley, this beautiful Illustrator P daughter was named Reserve Heifer Champion again!
