ZHW Holstein's weekend was filled with excitement.
Following a highly successful sale on Friday night, during which several sale animals from Volke/Hauck GbR changed hands for top prices, the tone was immediately set. Lot 41, ZHW Whoopi P, sold for €14,000, while Lot 16, ZHW Amira Red, realised €7,000. The success continued on Saturday during the show day of Qnetics’ Zukunft Rind. With multiple cows competing in various classes, the very best cows from the barn entered the show ring, resulting in several top placings.
In the second class for 2-yr-olds, the long-framed and strongly uddered Joelle (Spoiler) secured an impressive second place. She had to concede the class win to the Precision daughter GA Adena, who convinced the judges with beter feet & legs and more dairyness.
Top results were also achieved in the second-calf cow classes. WR Easy Peasy, a 2025 sale purchase by the Volke/Hauck family, claimed a strong third place. The VG-classified Mooi P RDC daughter descends from the renowned Krull Broker Elegance EX-96 cow family, a lineage long celebrated for its show success. Her dam, Floydholm Easy Glück, competed at the GDS 2023, while in turn, her maternal-sister Floydholm MC Emoji EX-95 was crowned Intermediate Champion at the WDE 2019.
As one of the few Red & White competitors, the second-calver ZHW Whisky Red, a Rompen-Red from the Starmark-I Advent Red Rose EX-90 family, impressed by securing a third place in her class. The powerfully developed Rompen Red descends from a long and distinguished line of outstanding conformation, with Whisky Red herself representing at least the tenth consecutive generation classified VG or EX.
Success continues to define this remarkable cow family. As a two-year-old, ZHW Advokat P (Advokat PP) was crowned Junior 2-yr-old Champion at the Zukunft Rind 2022. Now a mature and imposing cow, Advokat P returned to the show ring last Saturday to once again compete at the highest level. In a thrilling final, the dairy-like and stylish Advokat PP daughter from the renowned ZHW A family rose to the occasion and was awarded the Reserve Title in the Senior Cow Championship — a result that once again highlights the exceptional quality, consistency, and show-winning strength of this outstanding cow.
