Classification round at Visstein highlights Aiko's influence

Earlier this week, more than twenty first-calvers were classified at Visstein, with the renowned KHW Goldwyn Aiko RDC family once again demonstrating its exceptional breeding power. Several descendants from this successful cow family achieved Very Good classifications, underlining the consistency and strength of the lineage.

One of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly Visstein 3STAR Adelyna Red. This Red Rocks Mask Red daughter traces directly to the influential brood cow Visstein K&L SV Aderina Red VG-89. Now approaching nine years of age, Aderina Red is expected to calve for the sixth time this September and has already accumulated an impressive lifetime production of 78,599 kg milk with 4.63% fat and 3.85% protein.

Over the years, Aderina Red has established herself as one of Visstein & GenHotel's most important brood cows. She laid the foundation for the proven sires Visstein K&L Money P Red and Visstein K&L Ghost Red, both of which have gained significant recognition in Germany and abroad. The family has also proven highly valuable in embryo production, with nearly forty embryos produced and marketed from the successful Mask Red x Aderina mating.

Daughter Adelyna Red appears ready to continue her dam’s legacy. After calving for the first time in February, she quickly advanced to a daily production exceeding 40 kg of milk. During classification, she was scored VG-86, highlighted by an impressive VG-88 for Type.

The next generation from the family also attracted attention. Visstein Adenike Red, a Crown-Red daughter and granddaughter of Aderina Red, received a VG-86 classification as well. Through her dam, Visstein K&L MD Aderina Red VG-86, she traces directly back to the VG-89 Salvatore RC daughter, further confirming the consistency of this successful family.

The deep-rooted Massia family also delivered an outstanding performance. Visstein Maelynn P, a daughter of Mar Dino PP, was classified VG-86 and stood out as the only heifer in this round to achieve the highest score for a trait. Her exceptional appearance earned her an impressive VG-89 for Type. Bred through multiple generations at Visch, she traces back through FG Massia 106 VG-86 to the renowned Apina Massia 102 RDC EX-90.

The older cows also impressed during this classification round. Two young third-lactation cows were reclassified and both improved to VG-87. Visstein A Black Diamond P RDC, a Diamondback RDC daughter from Visstein Akim P Red VG-88, made a strong impression with her style and dairy strength. The classifier rewarded her with an outstanding EX-90 for Type, further emphasizing her potential within this family. Another noteworthy result came from Visstein Proxy RF, a Rubels-Red daughter from the famous Hanover Hill Tony Rae family. She was classified VG-87, including a strong VG-88 for Udder.
