Promising classification results at Sudena Holsteins

A recent classification round at Sudena Holsteins (Mensink family) resulted in several impressive scores. Alongside strong type classifications for their young cows, there was also good news for Emiel Willems, who added another newly classified VG 2-yr-old to his breeding achievements.
Wilskracht Wave Red daughter Sudena Rose 43 Red was classified VG-86, with an impressive VG-88 udder. This classified 2-yr-old from Mensink family's herd certainly lives up to her name: she traces directly back to the influential brood cow De Oosterhof DG Rose RDC VG-89. Now in her seventh lactation, this Rubicon daughter is approaching the 100,000 kg milk milestone, leaving a strong breeding legacy in the generations that follow. With this recently classified Wave Red granddaughter, Rose's influence continues to make its mark within the Sudena herd.
There was also reason to celebrate for Emiel Willems. His Wilskracht Warsi 1754 P Red, who is housed at the Mensink family's farm, received an impressive first classification. The RUW Sea P Red daughter calved in September at just two years of age and has now already been classified VG-87 overall, with VG-88 for Frame.
With this first score, she continues the outstanding classification record of her cow family. Through VG-87 Luster-P x VG-89 Jaffa P-Red x VG-89 Jacuzzi-Red, her pedigree traces back to the well-known brood and show cow Wilskracht Warsi 879 EX-93. With Warsi 1754 P Red, this family now counts twelve consecutive generations classified VG or EX! The family's breeding influence extends well beyond type classification. Her granddam, Wilskracht Warsi 1311 P Red, is a multiple sire dam, with notable sons including Wilskracht Wahoo P Red and Wilskracht Speedway Red PP.

Sudena 3STAR Sally P Red (Star Red) also made a strong impression during this classification round. The first calver, which calved in February, is a daughter of Salsa P Red VG-87, a joint purchase by the Mensink family and GenHotel. She is the only daughter from this mating in the Sudena herd.
Through several generations, her pedigree traces back to the North American cow Jenniton M-O-M Savana-Et EX-90. The Star Red x Salsa P Red mating has already delivered more than just this promising heifer. Thanks in part to the high ISET result of her dam Salsa, embryos from this same combination were also exported to Switzerland. The genetic potential of this cow family was further highlighted by Sally's maternal brother, Sudena 3STAR Sun Red PP, who was sold to RinderAllianz.
The family also continues to deliver in terms of type. Sally P Red was classified VG-85, with an outstanding VG-88 udder!

Sally's udder was good for VG-88!
A reclassification was also in store for the recently photographed 3STAR OH Aileen Red VG-89. Now in her fourth lactation, this Rubels Red daughter has produced almost 67,000 kg of milk to date. She was reclassified at 89 points, including VG-89 for her udder.
Her breeding influence is also making its mark in the next generation. A grandson of Aileen, Sudena Alex Red, is currently being stationed at KI Kampen. Sudena Holsteins purchased Aileen as a young calf at the 2020 GenHotel Selection Sale. Today, this descendant of the renowned KHW Goldwyn Aiko RDC EX-91 family has more than proven her worth!
