#1 GNVI Red hails from the Hedra Lize family
The #1 red genomic bull in the Netherlands is Delta Detective. His dam is Delta Lizelot, a Jerudo daughter out of the Hedra Lize family. The maternalline of Detective traces back to Hedra Lize 578, one of the best Addison daughters in the world. Lize 578 produced over 100.000 kg of milk and also over 10.000 kg fat and protein. Quite unique for an Addison daughter. But Lize 578 was not a "typical Addison daughter as she produced several lactations over 4.80% fat and 3.70% protein. Her Classic daughter Hedra Lize 665, the granddam of Detective, has recently started her 3rd lactation and is projected over 14.500 kg of milk (305 days).
Detective scores +296 GNVI and inherits great udders (+114) and very good feet and legs (+112), just as his father Sherlock. For overall type he scores +115 and he also has good breeding values for longevity, one of the strengths of the Liza family.
Sherlock x Lize family
Sherlock looks like an excellent mating on the Lize family. The Sherlock sisters Hedra Lize 745 RC and Hedra Lize 746 RC also hail from this family. Both are red carrier and their dam is Hedra Lize 733, a Fidji half-sister to Lizelot. Lize 745 RC scores +296 GNVI (RW basis) and Lize 746 scores +285 GNVI (RW basis). These sisters are the most interesting members of the Lize family in the Hedra herd and both sisters are contracted for embryos.
