With Dykster 3STAR Algetta VG-86, Dykster Holsteins and GenHotel once again highlight a strong representative of the successful 3STAR BreedingProgram. The first calver Gotti daughter combines her strong genetic transmission with solid production and a proven pedigree that has made its mark worldwide.
Through her maternal line, Algetta traces back to the famous American Sandy-Valley family. Her pedigree features notable names such as Sandy-Valley Plane Sapphire VG-87, dam of the well-known sire-of-sons/bulls Sterling and Saloon, and granddam of EDG Rubicon. For years, this cow family has been among the most influential genetic lines in international Holstein breeding.
This family continues to excel in recent generations as well. Granddam SPH Alberta produced multiple high-index offspring, including several AI bulls in Germany, Spain, and Italy—such as Dykster 3STAR Gladitore and Dykster 3STAR Magello.
Dykster 3STAR Algetta convincingly continues this story as one of the most interesting young females of her generation. Furthermore, her VG-86 classification and solid production figures demonstrate that genetic potential and functional performance go hand in hand. Her daughters are showing this same potential; for instance, 3STAR DS Algetta (Argentum), who was sold to Moonen during the HighlightSale 2026, still tests at a strong 157 gRZG.
