Interesting new gTPI toppers for Wilder, Dykster & Koepon
Wilder Herz P VG-87, great brood cow in the pedigree of Wilder Hong PP
The USA genomics results of newly tested females in October have been published again by the Holstein Association USA. The sire image of the top 50 gTPI European females contains no less than 27 different sires and thus shows that top genomic breeding certainly does not have to be at the expense of genetic variation.
Wilder Katar is the highest female bred by a GenHotel member with 3074 gTPI this month. Katar is a Peak Powerstar x Gameday from the well-known, Holtkamp family bred Wilder Kanu family. She shows a great production proof, a very low cell count and a very high productive life (+7.3 PL), resulting in 1113 NM. In addition, she possesses a flawless linear and scores +1.88 PTAT with +1.52 UDC. Her herdmate, Wilder Hong PP, is also in the top 50 with 2987 gTPI, due to her high production index, but comes from the family of show diva Batke Outside Kora EX-94. Moreover, this Winstar Mendel P-daughter is homozygous polled and therefore (as far as is known) the highest PP heifer in Europe.
The highest daughter of OCD Parfect Soysauce in October is Dykster 3STAR Zusy, which scores 3042 gTPI with a flawless genomic profile. Her dam Gladius Albertine has already produced several offspring who score high not only on an American, but also German basis. Maternal sister Dykster 3STAR Palona (by Peak Powerstar) is also in the top 50 in Europe this month with 2993 gTPI and 1122 NM.
The half-sisters Buiteneind 3STAR Molly (by Winstar Allied) and 3STAR OH Maudi (by Sandy-Valley Esquire) both score 3025 gTPI and are daughters of 3STAR OH Mazzali, a Peak AltaZazzle granddaughter of the super brood cow K&L OH Mabel. Mazzali now has 9 daughters above 3000 gTPI and is due in November. Also from the Mabel family is 3STAR OH Maly, a Cookiecutter Holysmokes x Progenesis Pinball with 3007 gTPI.
The Koepon Red Range family is making itself heard again this month: Koepon Dropbox Range 252 RF and Koepon Dropbox Range 253 RF both have the red factor and score respectively 3004 & 2988 gTPI and +3.03 & +2.92 PTAT (with +3.05 & +2.85 UDC). Their dam is Koepon Parfect Range 113 RF, which scores high for both TPI and ISU, which via a VG-87 Wilder Mark RF is a granddaughter of Lakeside UPS Red Range-Red VG-86. Another Red Range offspring in the top 50 is with 2997 gTPI Koepon Power Range 260 RF, a Peak Powerhouse from double-Koepon breeding product Koepon Marble Range 117 Red (by Koepon Marble-Red).
The highest Red Holstein of all newly genomic tested females in October in Europe is Koepon Hilbert Range 255 Red, also with Koepon-bred parents on both sides of the pedigree. Range 255 Red scores 2879 gTPI, has Koepon Hilbert-Red (Helium-Red x AltaAltuve RDC) as sire and is backed, via Gameday and Swingman, by the phenomenal brood cow Range-Red.
