Holbra Holsteins proudly celebrates two 100.000kg cows!

The number of hundred-tonners bred and milked by members is rapidly increasing. At Holbra Holsteins, two cows from established cow families achieved this milestone during the last milk recording.

Chaeyenne was one of these new hundred-tonners on the Holmer family farm. This 9-year-old S-S-I Sterling Damaris daughter originally hails from Germany and arrived at Holbra Holsteins in the autumn of 2015. Dam CNN Mogul Chamea, also of German origin, was co-owned by Holmer after her purchase. The Mogul daughter descends from Larcrest Carlin VG-87, a Robust granddaughter of Larcrest Cosmopolitan VG-87, and entered the flushin program. This effort led to the birth of the bulls HS Crayola @Semex and Chaeyenne's full brother, Holbra DG Charas @AI Total.

In February 2018, Chaeyenne calved for the first time and was good for VG-85. Now working on her seventh lactation, the Damaris daughter has exceeded 100,000 kg of lifetime milk production in just 2,338 days.

Holbra Sarena VG-88, a nearly 10-year-old cow by Pepper, comes from the Holbra Sana VG-89/Golden-Oaks Mark Prudence EX-95 family. Sarena, has achieved an impressive milestone by producing 100,215 kg of milk over 2,536 days, with a fat content of 4.86% and 3.79% protein. Her granddam is Sana VG-89, a daughter of Snowman, who has significantly influenced Holmer's breeding program. Sana produced the notable sire Holbra Inseme Rodanas (Doorman), which is still available as a proven sire at Inseme.
