De Wijde Blik Holsteins celebrates huge show achievements!
The De Wijde Blik champion duo during the Bisssende Koe 2023
Last week the annual 'Bissende Koe' took place where De Wijde Blik Holsteins entered the ring as one of the regular participants. A fantastic performance, because participation resulted in e.g. a double win at the 2-yr-old Championship!
In the category with 2-yr-olds, the two red Kenmore Triple Crown-Red daughters made a striking appearance. Herdmates De Wijde Blik Corrie 679 VG-88 and De Wijde Blik Mariegold 6a VG-87 were very close in the category, but it was the 88 points Corrie 679 which took the class victory and beat the Mariegold EX-93 (by Goldwyn) descendant which took the 2nd position. The two fantastic Crown-Red daughters brought their owner a double win with the titles 'Junior 2-yr-old Champion' and 'Reserve Junior 2-yr-old Champion'!

In the intermedaite class, the Gunnink family showed De Wijde Blik Masabi VG-87, which is another member of the De Wijde Blik herd. The second calver Biver is just like the latter mentioned Res. Champion Mariegold 6a VG-87, from the fantastic show family of Mariegold EX-93. In addition to the fact that Masabi VG-87 scored a second place in her class, this Mariegold offspring had some extra eyes on her because sire Scherma Blooming Biver is a bull of the Brown Swiss breed! Eventually, the VG-87 River daughter became Reserve Champion behind the Morrison daughter Jennie 605 from the stable of Mts. J+ Hj Schottert- Klein.

Also in the class with senior dairy cows, 'De Wijde Blik' appeared at the top where the fifth calver De Wijde Blik Marthe, a direct VG-88 Sabbiona Goldfarm daughter from Marie 389 VG-89, was named class winner. With this, the Gunnink family and the Nijman family once again brought a beautiful Mariegold family member to the top! Marthe VG-88 not only came to a 1st place, but was also was named Senior Champion! The fifth calver Goldfarm has produces so far 53.444kgM with 4.53% fat and 3.36% protein.

The highlight of the day for the owners of De Wijde Blik Holsteins and their companions of the Gunnink family was reached at the finals of the Grand Championship, or also known as the titel 'Bissende Koe 2023'. This special title was awarded to the Senior Champion: De Wijde Blik Marthe VG-88. To top it all off, the prestigious reserve title went to the red 2-yr-old De Wijde Blik Corrie 679 VG-88!
