Wilder K family underlines its class at VMO Holsteins
VMO Louisa Red VG-86 (Louis P-Red x VG-85 Percey-Red)
During the latest classification round, several young milking cows from the Veenhouwer-Mulder family's herd (VMO Holsteins) received excellent conformation scores. Among the classified cows was the first-calver VMO Louisa Red, a daughter of Delta Louis P-Red.
Although VMO Louisa Red has been milking for some time, she still managed to improve her classification score from VG-85 to VG-86 within one lactation, with a significant upgrade for her dairy strength. One of her daughters, boasting 157 gRZG and 412 gNVI, remains one of the highest-ranking CR 7 P Red daughters in both the German and Dutch genetic evaluation systems. For that reason, this daughter named VMO Lisa 9012 P Red was contracted for embryo production.
The five-year-old 3STAR PC Kanuzia Red VG-85 (Percey-Red), dam of the reclassified Louisa Red, is currently in her fourth lactation. She is a direct daughter of brood cow K&L SK Konzert Red VG-89, making this branch part of the highly successful Wilder K cow family.

Another promising young cow from this deep maternal line is VMO Kalista 1 Red, a Mask-Red daughter. Now approximately four months into her first lactation, she received a GP-84 classification, including an impressive VG-86 Mammary System score. Her dam, Kalista P Red (SFH Sailor PP), was purchased by VMO Holsteins at the 2022 HighlightSale. Since then, she has more than lived up to expectations. In addition to the successful marketing of embryos, she also produced VMO Segment PP Red (Sega P RDC), a homozygous polled bull bred by Veenhouwer-Mulder. This maternal half-brother to the newly classified Kalista 1 Red, Segment PP Red was sold to RUW.
Fresh cow VMO Glamour Aderyn Red also received her first classification, scoring VG-85. Aderyn Red is a granddaughter by Glamour Red of the renowned brood cow and bull dam Willsbro K&L Nugget Aderyn RDC VG-87. Her dam, VMO Rubels Aderyn Red, was originally purchased by VMO Holsteins as an embryo.
