Several daughters of 3STAR OH Ranger Red, the leading No. 2 proven Red Holstein sire in Canada and the Netherlands, are currently making their mark at Koepon Genetics. This exceptional bull was created by a flush of brood cow Lakeside Ups Red Range, owned by Koepon. Now, we can showcase important donors and high-producing Ranger Red daughters of Koepon, each playing a vital role in advancing the genetic excellence of their 420-head dairy herd.
Koepon Ranger P Doma 57 P Red (Ranger Red x AltaTop VG-85)
Doma 57 P Red, a polled daughter of the internationally renowned red bull, was selected for use as an embryo donor and such contracted by SwissGenetics. This strategic decision led to over 10 offspring, with Koepon Tricky Doma 81 P Red (s. Tricky Red) standing out as the highest tested one, achieving an impressive 3029 gTPI and 151 gRZG. Another remarkable offspring is Koepon Roddie Doma 106 P Red, a Roddie PP RDC daughter with a gTPI of 3016. Tracing back to the esteemed Scientific Debutante Rae EX-92, Doma 57 P Red comes from a lineage renowned for high milk production and exceptional conformation. She is projected at 10,240 kgM with 4.50% fat and 3.74% protein.
Koepon Ranger Doma 58 Red (Ranger Red x AltaAltuve)
Doma 58 Red, freshened in November of last year, shares the same influential cow family as Doma 57 P Red. This offspring of Debutante Rae has been a key player in Koepon's breeding program. The mating with Peak AltaSamson resulted in the impressive 3097 gTPI Koepon Samson Doma 87 RDC, while the pairing with Denovo Reality RC resulted in Koepon Reality Doma 100 Red, boasting an outstanding 3030 gTPI, 153 gRZG, and 435 gNVI, ranking #12 in the R&W gNVI (7-2025) female list. Her son Koepon Real Life-Red (s. Reality RC) was also sold to CRV and is currently the number 2 young red sire in the Netherlands/Flanders!
Koepon Ranger Classy 496 RDC VG-87 (Ranger-Red x GP-83 AltaTop)
The Red Range genes have blended with the dairy-like Koepon Classy family, represented by Classy 496 RDC, which classified VG-87. This highly balanced 3-yr-old has been in milk for a year now and continues to achieve a daily production of 33 kgM. From a breeding perspective, the red carrier Ranger-Red has bred over 15 offspring. Notably, Koepon Skat Classy 526 P RDC (by Skat P RDC) has impressive genes, testing at 3002 gTPI, 150 gRZG, and 346 gNVI. Classy produced in 305 days 10,294 kgM, with 4.87% fat and 3.70%!
Koepon Ranger P Discovery 3 P Red VG-86 (Ranger-Red x GP-84 Doble RC)
From one of Koepon's latest added cow families, KNS Daybright, comes this polled VG-86 Ranger-Red. Her dam, WIT Discovery P Red, was purchased during the 2021 Highlight Sale. Discovery 3 P VG-86 calved in November 2024 at 2.09 years old after being flushed several times. This process resulted in at least three homozygous polled daughters. Among them, Koepon Fred Discovery 14 PP Red (by Fred Red P) has achieved remarkable results, with a gRZG of 157 and a gTPI of 2877, along with A2A2 and BB. These results make her one of the highest-ranking red, homozygous polled heifer calves of her age worldwide! She has also been successfully integrated into the flushing program at Koepon, which recently paid off when an exceptionally high homozygous polled red bull was born from this Discovery 14 PP Red!
