More about Koepon's key players

Koepon is known for its outstanding lineages, featuring many high-performing cows with excellent genetic backgrounds. GenHotel highlights key members of this herd, including Koepon Parfect Range, Koepon Gameday Range, Koepon Rioave Genua 59, and Koepon Star P Doma. Each of these cows demonstrates strong genetics, huge p roduction and plays a big role in the future of Koepon's breeding program.

Koepon Parfect Range 113 RDC VG-86 (Parfect x VG-88 Mark RDC)
The exceptionally balanced and strong uddered Range 113 RDC comes out a beautiful Wilder Mark RDC dam and is a descendant of Lakeside Ups Red Range VG-86. Her genomic results have revealed her enormous genetic potential across multiple systems, paired with tremendous conformational strength. This was particularly appealing to the AI organization SwissGenetics, which were exited to introduce her genetics into their breeding program. The first embryos from Parfect in Switzerland produced notable offspring, including the bull Koepon SG Rufus RDC by Dropbox. Koepon fully used Range 113 RDC's red factor gene through matings with red/red factor bulls, such as Tricky Red (Koepon Tricky Range 297 RDC - 3070 gTPI & Koepon Tricky Range 290 Red - 151 gRZG/3015 gTPI), Raglan-Red (Koepon Raglan Range 361 Red - 2949 gTPI), and Koepon Redrave, a Boero RF son purchased by Intermizoo with 2962 gTPI.

Koepon Gameday Range 151 RDC VG-86 (Gameday x GP-84 AltaDateline) This high-producing granddaughter of the brood cow Lakeside Ups Red Range VG-86 has inherited many of her granddam's strong genes. This 3-yr-old Gameday scored VG-86 with a max. of VG-89 for her mammary (2-yr-old) and shows besides strong genetic qualities. This prompted extensive flushing of this Range offspring, resulting in Koepon Samson Range 349 RDC (by AltaSamson) testing at 3183 gTPI, the red Raglan-Red daughter Koepon Raglan Range 372 Red testing at 3109 gTPI, and the combination with Claynook Zoar resulted in Koepon Zoar Range 395, testing at 3112 gTPI. Gameday Range 151 RDC also achieved an impressive 3102 gTPI in the August run!

Koepon Rioave Genua 59 VG-85 (Rioaveso x GP-84 Random)

From the cow family of none other than Genua VG-87/Grietje 79 VG-89 comes the incredibly strong Rioave Genua 59. This strong-uddered Rioaveso daughter produced 12,521 kg of milk in 305 days with 4.03% fat and 3.68% protein. Genua 59 is one of three daughters of Koepon Random Genua 57, a double Koepon result with her sire being Koepon Random. From this 85 scored Rioavese Koepon has bred four daughters, including the polled Koepon Taft Genua 65 P (by Taft PP) with a gTPI of 2992.

Koepon Star P Doma 42 RDC VG-86 (Star P RDC x Shimmer RDC)
The polled and red-carrier Doma 42 RDC was, at the time, one of the highest-tested Star P RDC daughters for both gTPI and gRZG. This allowed Koepon to fully use her genetic potential by flushing her with various red and polled sires. For example, the combination with Penn-England Chew-P produced Koepon Chew Doma 67 P RDC, which tested at 2948 gTPI. This Chew P also produced granddaughter Koepon Simpply Doma 115 RDC (by Simply Red), which tested at 2988 gTPI in March. Doma 42 RDC is a member of the American Scientific Debutante Rae EX-92 cow family.
