JU Lonia 232 achieves prestigious Sterkoe 1

The nearly 10-year-old JU Lonia 232 (Sodan Red) recently achieved the Dutch Sterkoe 1 designation after receiving an excellent score. This white dairy cow, known for her high productivity, is from Johan Uenk's herd and achieved a score of EX-91 at over 9.5 years of age.
This accomplishment earned her the Sterkoe 1 title. JU Lonia 232 descends from a deep Dutch cow family, with at least seven generations classified with VG/EX. This lineage also includes the proven bull JU Stefan. Additionally, this line is recognized for its very high fat and protein production. In her third lactation, Lonia 232 produced an impressive 305-day production of 10,396 kgM with 5.18% fat and 3.85% protein.
A number of 2-yr-olds were also classified, with JU Lonia 352, a 4.5-month-old Diplom-Red daughter, receiving a high score of VG-88. She achieved a maximum score of VG-89 for her dairy strength and VG-88 for her udder, highlighting her quality. Another 2-yr-old, a Drouner Rednex daughter just over two months old, received an impressive score of 87 points.
