Highlights from a special classification day at the Willem's Hoeve

For the De Jong family of the Willem's Hoeve, a classification is a valuable opportunity to assess the conformation and health of their herd, ensuring they are on the right track. This latest classification highlighted 2-yr-olds from their breeding program that offers several results of 100% Willem's Hoeve matings. Among the high classified home bred cows was the first calver Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2960 RDC. This 2-yr-old is sired by Willem's Hoeve Titom and descends from the Rita cow family.
Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2960 RDC is one of fourteen first calvers classified this day. Her sire, Titom, is a son of Delta Floris and comes from the Biesheuvel Javina cow family, which has consistently performed well at De Jong and has been an essential part of their 195-headed herd for several years. Rita 2960 RDC classified at just two months fresh with a remarkable score of VG-88 (max VG-89 FL). This impressive score made her the highest-scored two-year-old of the day.
