Classified 2-yr-olds averaging over VG-86!
De Wijde Blik RS Betty 2, EQ x VG-85 Rapper
After several recent successes in shows, it was time for a classification day at De Wijde Blik Holsteins. A total of eleven 2-yr-olds where scored, achieving impressive average scores, resulting in an average of over 86 points! We are excited to share the results of this outstanding day.
Two of the scored young milkers were awarded a score of VG-88, both being descendants of Marie 389. Among them is De Wijde Blik Mazarja, a first-calver Crown-Red who recently won the Junioer 2-yr-old championship at the Ommer Bissingh event. Mazarja (Crown x VG-89 Chelios) is owned by the Gunnink family and is housed at the De Wijde Blik dairy farm. Just over three months in milk, Mazarja received a maximum score of VG-89 for her type and frame.
De Wijde Blik Matzi, a Fitz granddaughter of the VG-89 Chelios De Wijde Blik Marien, won both the Reserve Champion and Udder Champion titles at the recent Rundvee Show Noord. This 2-yr-old, also owned by the Gunnink family, received a score of VG-88 with a maximum of VG-89 for Dairy Strength and Mammary).

De Wijde Blik Betty 2 scored VG-87 in her first lactation. Betty 2 calved in February at just 2 years old and is a Sandy-Valley EQ daughter of De Wijde Blik RS Betty 1 VG-85 by Rapper—she is also the dam of a son at KI Kampen. Through several well-producing generations, the VG-87 EQ heifer descends from Southland Dellia 44 EX-90. Her score comprised a max. VG-89 for Diary Strength and VG-88 for Frame & Legs.

Visstein GK Pippa VG-86 by Concert, has been an important contributor to the Holbra Pam VG-87/Golden-Oaks Mark Prudence EX-95 cow family. Numerous descendants of Pippa, born and raised by the Nijman family, have also attained high classifications during the last years. Last week, her Delta Drone PP Red granddaughter, De Wijde Blik Pippa 2 PP RDC, received a score of VG-87 (with VG-88 for mammary). Her dam is De Wijde Blik 3STAR Pippa 1 P RDC, which scored VG-86 2-yr-old and is by Abundant P RDC. She is a maternal-sister to the 86-point Bellwether daughter, De Wijde Blik K&L Pipa 2, who is the dam of sire De Wijde Blik Paradise.
Additionally, from Veenhuizer K&L BD Nelize 8 VG-87, bred by GenHotel and a member to the Neblina/Tui Opel Ned Boy VG-89 cow family, the Nijman family has bred a beautiful 2-yr-old by VDR Shakespeare: De Wijde Blik Nelize 10. Nelize 10 was scored with VG-86, of which VG-88 for her feet and legs. Her 9-year-old dam by Board, is still at De Wijde Blik and has produced an impressive 77,690 kgM with 4.45% fat and 3.79% protein to date. Several maternal-brothers of Nelize 8 were sold to AI at the time, with the most successful being Veenhuizer K&L JT Jameson, who has over 5,600 daughters in production.

De Wijde Blik 3STAR SIE Solera RDC is one of the successful daughters of Schuit Solana P Red VG-86 by Solitair P Red, owned by Zuchtbetrieb Siepermann & GenHotel. Several high-testing daughters were born, including the Rover daughter Solera RDC through the 3STAR EmbryoProgram. In 2023, Siepermann and GenHotel sold their shares in the interesting Rover daughter. Solera RDC calved in November and is showing excellent production. During the classifaiction, she was awarded with VG-86 (VG-88 MS), making her following in her dam's footsteps.
