Alsgårds Lantbruk competes in Swedish Herd Competition
Alsgaard 3STAR Kiara Red, Alsgaard 3STAR Kombi P Red & 2nd calver Alsgaard 3STAR Ivy Red
Svensk Holstein is currently organizing a "Herd Competition" in Sweden, which involves a home judged format. Each participating dairy farm presents three cows that are judged as a group by an independent judge.
The trio of cows from the Alsgårds Lantbruk herd is co-owned by GenHotel and are all results from the 3STAR EmbryoProgram, in which the Andersson family has participated for several years. This program has already produced several high-potential heifers and cows and sveral bulls that sold to Ai-studs.
The participating group includes full sisters Alsgaard 3STAR Kiara Red and Alsgaard 3STAR Kombi P Red, both first-calvers sired by Glamour-Red, along with second-calver Alsgaard 3STAR Ivy Red (by Money P Red). This excellent trio consists of milking Red Holsteins all of whom trace their lineage back to the renowned Wilder K25 Red EX-90, making them part of the esteemed Wilder K cow family.
The polled Kombi P Red has achieved impressive breeding results, including her red-carrier daughter Alsgaard 3STAR Kombo RDC, who received an outstanding 158 gRZG. This makes her the highest-scoring red-carrier Argentum in this genomics system!
