New highlights for Zandenburg Holsteins!

During the classification day at the Sommers family's farm Zandenburg Holsteins, nearly 40 2-yr-olds were scored, resulting in an impressive average score of VG-85.2. Several cow families have established themselves within this herd and have become significant contributors. Additionally, several important individuals were captured on camera.
Two 2-yr-olds received a score of VG-88. One of these is Zandenburg Harrisenna Ebony, a daughter of Cookiecutter Harrisenna. She follows in the footsteps of her dam and granddam, both of whom also received scores of 88 points. In just four generations, the Harrisenna daughter traces back to Zandenburg Snowman Ebony 1, classified as EX-90. This five-month-old fresh first calver boasts a maximum udder score of VG-89.
The Meier Meadows El Jezebel-ET EX-92 cow family, which is the foundation behind sirel O-Man, also produced an 88-point 2-yr-old during this classification. Zandenburg Zuri Jezebel (Zuri x Eldorado), was classified with a VG-88 mamamry and a maximum score of VG-89 for feet & legs. The Jezebel line is known for achieving impressive milk production; both Zuri Jezebel's dam and granddam have surpassed 72,000 kgM in five lactations at the time of culling. The bull Zuri is an American son of AltaZazzle.

In a remarkable display of quality, four heifers have been scored VG-87, showcasing the diversity and strength of different cow families. Among them is Zandenburg Fugleman Dellia, a standout daughter of Peak Fugleman, who achieved an impressive score of 87 points. Having calved in July, Dellia, sired by the exceptional Real Syn daughter Zandenburg Real Syn Dellia, boasts impressive figures of 392 gNVI and 146 gRG. The Dellia family is renowned for its longevity, exemplified by her granddam, Zandenburg Mavid Dellia VG-88, who produced an astonishing life time production of 118,100 kgM over 2772 days.

Equally impressive is Zandenburg Rammstein Fabiola Red, another VG-87 scored first calver at Sommers. As a daughter of Rammstein from the Fabiola cow family she brings a prestigious lineage that includes GP-84 Wingstar-Red xVG-87 Jacuzzi-Red x VG-88 Romano. Her granddam, Zandenburg Jacuzzi Fabiola 3 Red, has been prolific, producing numerous progeny by Gladius, Wendat, and Wingstar-Red. Additionally, the high-quality polled, red Zandenburg Louis P Ebony 3 P Red, sired by Louis P Red, successfully achieved a VG-87 score in the same lactation.
Rmd-Dotterer Ssi Gameday is a bull who has made a significant impact in the Sommers herd, exemplified by his daughter, Zandenburg Gameday Wanja 1, who not only earned a VG-87 score but also boasts an impressive TPI of 3042 at 2.5 years old. The Wanja family lineage can be traced back to the American brood cow To-Mar Wayne Hay EX-90. Another exceptional daughter of Gameday is Zandenburg Gameday Camilla, classified VG-87 in her first lactation and calved for the second time last May. A son of hers is soon to be available at KI Kampen, promising to continue this legacy.

Lastly, Zandenburg Rubels Ebony Red, a third calver, was classified EX-90 (EX-93 Type) during this lactation and was recently showcased following an impressive six months of production. In just 305 days, she is projected to produce 18,049 kgM with 4.05% fat and 3.19% protein. Her polled granddaughter, Zandenburg Firestone Ebony P Red, stands out with 378 gNVI, ranking prominently on the top red-and-white NVI list, while her Simply maternal-sister is not far behind with an impressive 369 gNVI.
