Koepon's herd delivers stunning classifciation results
Koepon Tricky Range 295 RDC VG-87
At the Koepon dairy farm, 36 cows were presented to the classifier. From this group, 10 of them were re-scored, and the majority, both Holstein and Red Holstein, received their first scores as 2-yr-olds. This resulted in an impressive average score of VG-85.5 over 26 first calves.
A highlight from this day was Koepon Floris Ruby 42, whose in fourth lactation, achieved a total score of VG-89 and EX-92 for Legs. Ruby descends from the Regan-Joy Durham Regenia EX-92 family and has Koepon Ruby-Ann as her granddam. She is the dam of the proven bulls Koepon Peak AltaZarek and Koepon Peak Tosco.
Quite some first calves, which have been significant for Koepon's breeding program, were scored. One notable example is the polled Koepon Cartoon P Range 177 Red (Cartoon P Red x VG-86 Rubels-Red x Red Range VG-86). Her son, Koepon Hot Red PP, is currently being stationed at Rinder Allianz in Germany. The Cartoon P Red daughter got scores of VG-86 with VG-88 for feet and legs. Another promising entry is Koepon Whya Range 219 PP RDC, who was good for VG-86 and is a genomic interesting daughter of the Canadian bull Character Whya P Red. She has also bred an intriguing bull for AI. Her homozygous polled son, Koepon Range Rover PP Red, sired by Winstar Rolf-P *RC, is at Genus/ABS. The mating of this 86-point with Stgen Roddie PP RC has proven successful. They produced five homozygous polled heifer calves, including one red heifer, and averaging 2980 gTPI.

The KNS-D cow family, from which Koepon Fred Discovery 13 P Red, who calved in August, descends, has grown significantly in influence at Koepon in recent years, thanks in part to their polled gene and excellent indexes. This young DW Fred Red P daughter, out of Koepon Ranger P Discovery 3 P Red VG-86, has already achieved VG-87 with VG-88 for Type and Udder. She is a full sister to Koepon Fred Discovery 14 PP Red, who recently produced one of the highest homozygous polled bulls in the world: Koepon Duet PP Red. This Dressman P son has been sold to a German AI station.

Fred Red P being a right fit for this herd is further evidenced by Koepon Fred Range 277 P Red (Fred Red P x Star P RDC x VG-87 AltaAltuve RDC x Red Range VG-86). The versatile Range 277 has mothered five high scoring daughters. One of these polled daughters, Koepon Simply Range 443 P Red (by Simply Red), boasts scores of 160 gRZG, 2937 gTPI, and 430 gNVI, and will be sold during the VOST Select Sale. The young brood cow Range 277 P Red earned a classification of VG-86 with VG-87 for Udder during this classification round.

The bull Pröbstings Arizona was also inhanced for the German side of the Koepon breeding program. One of his first milking daughters at Koepon is Koepon Arizona Range 240 P RDC. His polled and red factor genes were effectively used, resulting in many high-scoring daughters from Simply Red and Dressman P Red. Among them are the top gNVI-rated Koepon Simply Range 434 Red (481 gNVI/3047 gTPI/159 gRZG) and Koepon Dman Range 460 P Red with 160 gRZG and 2984 gTPI. Range 240 also stands out in terms of conformation, having been scored with VG-87.

Two full sisters of Ocd Parfect Figaro, Doma 64 RDC and Doma 66 RDC, both received an impressive score of VG-87, each with VG-88 scored mammary systems. This lineage traces back to Scientific Debutante Rae. Their granddam is Koepon Shimmer Doma 30 RDC, who is also the dam of the bull Koepon Ryder Ryan Red.
Koepon Tricky Range 295 RDC achieved a score of VG-87, with a maximum score of VG-89 for Dairy Strength. This early-milking Tricky Red is out of Koepon Parfect Range 113 RDC, which is a VG-86 Parfect granddaughter of Red Range. As a heifer, Range 113 RDC was contracted by SwissGenetics, leading to Dropbox son Koepon SG Rufus RDC.
