Dykster 3STAR Rachel Red rocks at the SonderKollektion 2023

At the SonderKollektion, which took place in Alsfeld last Friday evening, it was Dykster 3STAR Rachel Red (lot 18) - bred by Dykster Holsteins and GenHotel - which achieved the highest sale prize of € 20,000, followed by lot 12 ZHW Jacklyn, which changed hands for € 17,500. Also catalogue no. 9, SPH Davina, belongs to the top of this auction with an amount of € 14,500.

Top seller Rachel-Red already managed to attract a lot of attention before the auction. Despite the fact that the 3STAR OH Ranger Red daughter was sold in absence, she managed to attract the attention of the buyers due to her all-round transmitting profile including: 163 gRZG (2584 gRZ€), 1655 gISET, 4531 gPFT and 4859 gICO. Because she is one of the highest Ranger-Reds in Europe and certainly the number 2 based on RZG, a total value of embryo contracts of € 19,600 was signed up! After a fiery bidding duel between online and attending buyers, lot 18 Dykster 3STAR Rachel Red was closed down by the auctioneer for € 20,000!

ZHW Jacklyn, by Peak Rainow, catalogue number 12, also managed to attract the attention of the attending and online bidders. With breeding values such as 159 gRZG, 2954 gTPI (1017 NM$), 4461 gPFT and 834 gPLI, the Miss Shottle Sadie EX-93 offspring managed to sell for € 17,500. With Jacklyn, her buyers managed to bring in quite a new cow family for the Holstein index breeding and even the number 1 Rainow daughter based on gTPI!

ZHW Jacklyn sold for € 17.500.

SPH Davina A2A2 (Rainow x Radar) comes from the L-L-M-Dairy Camern Deeaz EX91 cow family. With scores of no less than 162 gRZG, 147 RZM with 2625 gRZ€ in Germany and 2681 gTPI with +1.45 gPTAT in America, this lot 9 was high in demand. This line was already in the spotlight because SPH Dyna, the full sister of lot 9 her dam, was the top seller of the SonderKollektion in 2019. At the time, Dyna sold to Bouw Holsteins in the Netherlands. Davina also managed to switch hands for no less than € 14,500 and includes a total of € 24,400 in embryo contracts.

Best-sold 2-yr-old was lot 5 SEI Kimberley RDC, a milking Westcoast Swingman Red daughter from the Seipel Holsteins herd. The SEI Kendra RDC EX-90 great-granddaughter showed a first milk recording of more than 45 kgs of milk! She will meet her new owner for an outstanding amount of € 5,900.

The average sale prize over the SonderKollektion, where 37 animals were sold, hit a great amount of € 6,366.
