Meet one of the first Dutch milking Secundus daughters!

The bull VMO 3STAR Secundus (Simon P x Agronaut) is set to establish a powerful presence in the Holstein world, even without an official daughter based index in Germany just yet. We are already witnessing the success of his first milking daughters, including a notable Dutch offspring at VMO Holsteins, the proud co-breeder of this high pitch-black bull.

The dam of VMO 3STAR Secundus is Agronaut daughter VMO K&L RA Goldie, which resulted from the 3STAR EmbryoProgram, through which dairy farmer Anne Veenhouwer has achieved more breeding success over time. The young bull attracted the attention of the German AI-stud Qnetics due to his impressive RZG profile. After his purchase, Qnetics found themselves with the number 4 gRZG Holstein bull in Germany. His remarkable qualities allowed the male from Grietje 80 EX-91 to be marketed effectively, and Secundus has also been used as sire of sons. Following the April proofs, Secundus scored an impressive 141 gRZG and is on track to receive his first proven breeding value in August 2025. His dam, Goldie, is now in her third lactation and continues to excel in milk production by producing 22% above herd average.

The mating with Veenhouwer’s SonderKollektion 2021 purchase, SPH Germania VG-86 (sired by Copyright), was a strategic match for Secundus. This flush produced four outstanding female offspring, including VMO Gerlinde, who stands out as the highest RZG tested among them. Gerlinde calved for the first time in February and has already been scored with VG-85 AV. At this moment, she is producing 37kgM/day and is projected to produce 9075kgM with 4.55% fat and 3.53% protein. She is making waves and was recently photographed to showcase her impressive stature!

During a GGI Spermex progeny tour, early Secundus daughters were also viewed in Germany. In a report, these daughters were described as correct young cows with an average stature, showing a good body score and strength, very good udders with correct rumps!

VMO 3STAR Secundus: 141 gRZG - +1187 kgM 0,19%f & 0,18%p - 112 gZGes - 118 gRZS - 116 gRZR
