The K&L OH Mabel cow family has become an huge part of Holstein breeding and the sale circuit. Also at tonight’s auction in Hamm, Germany, one of her impressive descendants will come under the hammer. It concerns De Oosterhof 3STAR Marella, a dairyness daughter of the sire Dykster 3STAR Magello.

Lot 9 – De Oosterhof 3STAR Marella records 154 gRZG, combining high milk production with positive components, high longevity, good fertility, and desirable udder health. Her dam, De Oosterhof 3STAR Marlien (Powerstar), is recently fresh and has made a strong start. Marlien served as an important embryo donor and produced, among others, Marella’s full brother Mabello, who was sold to Qnetics.
The granddam is the renowned brood cow 3STAR OH Mazzali GP-84, who produced two sons sold to international AI organizations and played a key role within the breeding program. The success story of this line began with Maybelline Tual VG-85. This legendary Rubicon daughter is the fifth dam of the auctioned Lot 9. She will soon be fresh with her eighth calf and has produced more than 75,000 kg of milk to date, with 4.79% fat and 3.58% protein.
Active sires from this family include Zani Wendat Inseme Haaland, 3STAR OH Maestro Red, and 3STAR OH Marcello.
