GenHotel members win at video competitions!

The winter season is the ideal time for clubs, schools and associations to host virtual video competitions. The members of GenHotel are passionate about Holstein breeding, and this was evident from the numerous successes achieved during various of these online shows throughout the country.
Videokeuring Fokcie Dronten
One such video judging event was organized by the ""okkerij Commissie of the Aeres University of Applied Sciences", which awarded the title of 'Beste Boerenkoe' to Big Super Star 69 Red, a cow from Big Holsteins sired by Tequila. The dam of bulls Big Festino and Big Surprise RF is now 14 years old and has already produced over 150,000 kgM with almost 13,000 kg of fat + protein. She belongs to the same cow family as Big Superstar (by Fidelity) and Big Mac (by Fidelity). Recently, the Red Holstein cow even managed to increase her score to EX-91!
Videokeuring Yuverta MBO Houten
At the agricultural school Yuverta, the Res. Junior Champion Red & White of the HHH 2023, Willem's-Hoeve Jmw Applause 26 VG-89 from Willem's-Hoeve Holsteins/Metz/Nuij was a participant in their video competition. The 2-yr-old milking heifer, a Lindenright Moovin RC daughter, freshened in September 2023 and belongs to the KHW Regiment Apple-Red family. After winning the national title, the Applause continued to develop and outperformed her competitors once again, earning the title of 'Junior Champion 2024'.
VRV-Videoshow
The Albring family participated in each category of the VRV-Videoshow and achieved great success. The red-and-white Drouner Aiko 1816 Red VG-88 (by Diamondback RDC) won the Junior title, after winning the Reserve Best Red Rundeveeshow Noord earlier in 2023. In the Intermediate class, the trophy was awarded to Drouner Ria 1716 Red, a Drouner K&L A 328 Red daughter. Ria VG-88, a second lactation, had already proven herself in the show ring by being named Best Red + Res. Intermediate Champion during the Rundeveeshow Noord 2023. Also, Drouner Asmara 1443 EX-90, a third calf Doorman x VG-89 Mogul, won besides the Senior Championship also the Grand Championship of this competition. Asmara had also won the Res. Senrio Championof the Rundeveeshow Noord 2023 title previously.

Parel van Dalfsen 2024
At the 'Parel van Dalfsen' video competition, Beeze Holsteins and Poppe Holsteins participated. The jury named Poppe Fienchen 1270 Red, a VG-86 Norbert daughter in fourth lactation, as the Reserve Champion. Poppe Magic Match Red s.Mauro-Red, the son of Fienchen 1270 Red, is owned by KI Samen. One of her homozygous polled offspring, Poppe Fienchen 2574 PP Red, holds a high rank with 388 gNVI in the Red Holstein top list. The herd of Poppe also delivered the Champion, Den Hamer Red Hot Feebe RDC VG-89 (Balisto x VG-86 Amor-Red). Like Fienchen 1270 Red, Feebe RDC also belongs to the Elites-JSJ Fac Feebe Red cow family. Feebe RDC, a Balisto daughter, is a significant brood cow for Poppe and Martijn v.d. Boom with numerous high testing offspring and (grand)sons at Ai studs. She is currently in her 4th lactation and produces a lot of milk with good components.
This organization presented a category of dairy cows with a total lifetime production of 100,000 kgM or more. The championship within this impressive group was won by Beeze Grietje 152 VG-85 from Beeze Holsteins! This 12-year-old De-Su Observer daughter has produced over 137,000 kgM, has a score of VG-85, and has had 9 calvings so far. Despite Grietje's age, she exceeded the jury's expectations and showed little wear and tear in her skeleton and feet&legs! In the end, Grietje 152, bred & owned by Martien van der Kamp was named 'Parel van Dalfsen'!
