Successful purchase at De Dorre Selection Sale!
De Dorre Unix Britany, just fresh scored VG-86 & VG-87 MS!
In December 2020, De Dorre Holsteins held their special dispersal sale via the GenHotel website. Under the name 'De Dorre Selection Sale' 19 heifers were auctioned. One of these young heifers, De Dorre Unix Britany, was sold at a 'ready to flush age' for € 4,000 to the Austrian breeder Andreas Bärnthaler. She is now fresh in her first lactation, successfully classified and photographed again!
De Dorre Unix Britany is a Croteau Lesperron Unix granddaughter of Jacobs Goldwyn Britany EX-96. The Canadian EX-96 Goldwyn won several major titles during her career, including Holstein Canada Cow of the Year 2017 & Grand Champion International Holstein Show Quebec 2011. In addition, she also turned out to be a fantastic brood cow with no less than 51 daughters in Canada which are classified VG or EX! One of these daughters is Jacobs McCutchen Bring with VG-87, dam of the Unix that Benny Leferink bought as an embryo.
Not only is the Britany family a line with great show (winning) cows, but cows from this line also know how to achieve great milk production. For example, Bring VG-87 produces 13,106 kgsM with 4.2%F and 3.0%P in 232 days and Britany EX-96 produced in her life 61,062 kgs of milk in 1,463 days, while attending many shows and being flushed regularly to create additional offspring.

At the time Britany was sold through the De Dorre Selection Sale her gPTAT was +2.51. And now, 1.5 years later, it has even slightly increased to +2.53 PTAT! Mid-February of this year, the Unix calved for the first time. Recently Britany is classified VG-86 with VG-87 MS! All the more reason for her new owner to capture this fantastic young cow on camera. This gives us the optimal opportunity to enjoy Unix Britany VG-86 even more!
