KOE Fabiola-Red Senior Champion Dairy Fair Mariënwaerdt

Applejax daughter KOE Fabiola-Red, owned by Batouwe Holsteins and Dick and Ellis van Zetten, is named Senior Champion at the Dairy Fair Mariënwaerdt. Fabiola-Red also won the udder championship and placed over Welland Sien 2, a Pleasure daughter of fam. van der Wel, Hoogblokland who was named Reserve Champion.

Hoornaar

Last week (11 August) Batouwe Holsteins also had a good day on a calves/heifers show in Hoornaar. At this show Batouwe Ap Apple Red, a Apoll P daughter from the KHW Regiment Apple-Red family, was named Reserve Champion heifers. In her class she placed over herdmate Batouw Pb Rae Red P, a Paybal daughter from the Rae/Roxy family, who was named Honourable Mention.
Batouwe Tulipe Jrd Red (s. Jerudo; 1st young calves B&W), Batouwe Ashly Jedi (s. Jedi; 3rd young calves B&W) and Batouwe Golddonna (v. Doorman; 3rd calve) were also present at the show. Both Gert Bakker (10 / 12 year) and Rens Bakker (12 / 16 year) won the showmanship title.

Willem’s Hoeve Holsteins

Back to last weekend, to the Dairy Fair Mariënwaerdt with Willem’s Hoeve Holsteins. Willem’s Hoeve Rita 1055 (s. Bradnick) was placed 2nd in her class with Senior cows and the 2-Yr Old Silver daughter Willem’s Hoeve Baily 1610 also placed 2nd in her class. Willem's Hoeve Rita 1263 (s. Bradnick) won her class with intermediate cows but that was not enough for intermediate titles. These where won by the numbers 1 and 2 of the other intermediate class; Jansje 626 (s. Gold Chip; Own. Fa de Groot) and Ebeltje 445 (s. Golden Dreams; Own. Mts. Aalberts).

Next generation

The youngest generation at Willem’s Hoeve Holsteins is also active in the showring already. And not without success. Nick de Jong (3 years) won the Showmanship title and his sister Fay de Jong (4 years) was named Reserve. Nick also won the “upcoming talent” award awarded by Alfa Accountants.
