From the VOST Select Sale to Topspeed Holsteins
3STAR OH Magda RDC VG-86
A great update on an impressive lot that was offered by De Oosterhof and GenHotel at the 2024 VOST Select Sale: 3STAR OH Magda RDC. As a young heifer, she stood out with her combination of red factor, high genomic indexes and a proven cow family. Magda is now milking at her new owner, Topspeed Holsteins, where she was recently classified VG-86 2-yr-old.
Magda is a Sheepster daughter out of 3STAR OH Magnio RDC VG-85, followed by Riveting daughter Magnolia GP-84 and the well-known Pen-Col Superhero Mistral EX-91. Mistral produced more than 15,700 kg of milk in her third lactation and has five sons in AI, including Mingus and Predar. The family traces back to the internationally renowned Gold-N-Oaks Marbella VG-89.
At the time of sale, Magda already had impressive genomic figures: 3100 gTPI, 319 gNVI and 870 gPLI. She calved for the first time last summer and is now also showing her potential as a milking cow.

And perhaps even more interesting: Magda has already produced high-indexed offspring herself. Topspeed Mila RDC (s. Brakels Elevate) combines 146 gRZG with an impressive 448 gNVI, putting her among the highest gNVI Holstein calves in the Netherlands and Belgium.
A great example of how an investment from the 3STAR Breeding Program continues to develop: from a promising young calf at the VOST Select Sale to a VG-classified, well-producing young cow.
