VMO Holsteins invests in popular Bomaz cow family
Dam 3STAR Bomaz Riva RDC (s. Riveting)
Recently, Dignity 3STAR Rina 2 RDC, a descendant of the American bull dam Bomaz Delta 7173 VG-88, entered the VMO Holsteins herd. Only three generations is the red factor Peak AltaAlanzo daughter removed from this multiple bull dam. She has the potential to grow into the 4th generation bull dam in this beloved cow family, which also delivered the highranking sire Bomaz AltaTopshot!
The first genomics result of Rina 2 RDC not only shows a beautiful score of 2856 gTPI and 943 NM$, but also shows that the AltaAlanzo daughter carries the redfactor. With this gTPI score, she is possibly one of the highest redfactor AltaAlanzo daughters in Europe! In addition, she transmits no less than 1606 lbs of milk, positive fat & protein % and +5.1 PL. Dam 3STAR Bomaz Riva RDC (by Riveting) was purchased as an embryo and produced 14 female and male offspring so far. Riva RDC has been in milk for some time now, is pregnant again and will calve for the second time in mid-August. Further in this pedigree we find Rina 2 RDC's granddam Bomaz Salvatore 8066 RDC, one of the highest gTPI redfactor females globally and dam of bulls Bomaz Brute and Bomaz Rimrock RDC.
The successful cow family of the American dairy farm Bomaz Inc. is in demand by sire analysts. This will certainly increase further in the coming period after the prestigious title that the Zwald family recently received: 'Herd of Excellence 2022'. The Herd of Excellence Award was introduced by Holstein USA to recognize Registered Holstein breeders which have bred and developed excellent herds, made up of cows with superior type and production.
Riva RDC and her full sisters, 3STAR Bomaz Rive VG-85 and 3STAR RT Patsy RDC GP-84, are some of the few Bomaz Delta 7173 offspring in Europe and all three are used in 3STAR Breeding Program. Their first high scoring daughters are now entering the flush programm to create additional excellent offspring in Europe.
