Successful show day for JU Holsteins
Herd group of Uenk, named Reserve Champion.
Last Saturday the Fokveedag IJsselvallei took place, where JU Holsteins successfully participated with their cows in several categories. Below is a throwback!
The youngest class of 2-yr-olds was headed by SHG Avalanche Lotto Red daughter RM Esmeralda 3 RDC. The granddaughter of well-known show cow JK Eder DG Esmeralda EX-92, which freshened in March, is bred by Ritmaster Holsteins out of their purchase JK Eder DG Awesome Esmeralda RDC. This daughter of the American top conformation sire Luck-E Awesome-Red classified VG-86 as a 2-yr-old, produced many embryos and realized a great production. As a pregnant heifer, her Lotto Red daughter Esmeralda 3 RDC was sold to JU Holsteins and debuted strongly in the show ring last Saturday, after her calving in March. Just before this grandiose debut, the Carf Emeraude EX-91 descendant scored an amazing VG-88 with MAX VG-89 Dairyness. Her maternal sister by Power Red, Ritmaster Esmeralda 6 Red, was sold to Drouner Holsteins at the VOST Select Sale 9 and started her first lactation in May.

There is always a strong performance for JU Holsteins in the category with senior cows. For example, Uenk's dairy cows were placed high in all three classes. The third calver JU S Coba 10 VG-89, Manpower x JU S Coba 8 EX-90, took the second position and was placed before herd mate Tienmorgen Marie Suze 8 (by American Carnival-Red) which was placed third, in the youngest class.
From the Lonias, the - almost seven years old - JU Lonia 254 Red EX-92 took second place in her class. The lifetime production of the Lord Red P daughter is 47,584 kgsM with 4.61% fat and 3.59% protein! Her dam is the EX-90 classified JU Lonia 200, a daughter of a homebred bull.
This day included a prestigious 'Prestatie Klasse', where cows with a lifetime production of 50,000 kgs of milk or more were praised. In this class, Uenk entered the ring with three animals of which two cows were placed high, namely the recently excellent classified, fourth lactation JU Marie 1 EX-90 (Apoll P x Brook Marie 61 EX-91) at a third place and the fourth calver bull dam JU Lonia 232 EX-91 by Sodan Red, which was placed second. Her Rubels-Red son JU Meatloof Red is marketed by the Dutch Ferti-Plus. In the finals, Uenk reached the championship with three of his senior cow. Manpower daughter Coba 10 VG-89 was named Reserve Senior Champion!
Finally, the success came to a climax in the Championship of Herd Groups. After winning a first place, the group of JU Holsteins with senior cows was named Reserve Champion!

Ju Lonia 167 won de CRV price for highest lifetime production, with a lifetime production of >97.000kgM she was by far the cow with the highest lifetime production!
