Intermediate Champion Dairy Fair Mariënwaerdt scores EX-90!

The red Batouwe Jrd Belladonna made an impressive entrance for Batouwe Holsteins during the Dairy Fair Mariënwaerdt. As a triompf, the Cycle Mcgucci Jordy Red daughter not only won the R&W Intermediate Championship, but also took home the price for Best Udder over all red-and-whites. To top it all off, last week the second calver made a huge increase of her overall score for conformation as well!

The second calver Jordy Red-granddaughter of show-diva Al-Star Jotan Bella EX-92 was too strong for her competition during the 2023 edition of the Dairy Fair and took the best udder in addition to the class victory in her Intermediate Class. The young dairy cow also served as a head cow in the Batouwe herd's group. After a special visit from the classifier, Belladonna managed to increase her score to no less than EX-90 with EX-92 (MAX) for her mammary! A maternal-sister of her dam, Batouwe Mvn Bellamore Red. Was scored as well and was good for VG-87 with a maximum score of VG-89 for Dairy Strenght! Bellamore Red is a first lactation Lindenright Moovin RDC straigth from Jotan Bella EX-92 and was also present at the Dairy Fair Mariënwaerdt 2013.

In addition to Batouwe Holsteins, GenHotel members Willem's Hoeve, VanHolland Holsteins and Molenkamp Holsteins were also participants at this summer show to show their best  cows.

Molenkamp Holsteins entered intermediate B&W class with one of their well-known Aurora Mitchell daughters, namely Molenkamp Rita 5671 VG-87. The Willem's Hoeve Rita descendant achieved a 3rd place and was named Best Udder of her class. The same situation in the younger category also occurred for Vanholland Anke 159 a second calf Cookiecutter Shot Henley and daughter of VanHolland Anke 135 VG-88 (by Atwood). Despite her third place in her class, the Henley daughter did receive the price for best udder.

In the category with milking 2-yr-olds we found from the Molenkamp herd Dynamic Josje 3 (Moovin RC x Silver). Josje 3, which calved in February, secured the third position in her category.  From the same cow family, Josje 1's dam Dynamic Josje 1 (by Silver) was also successful in the production class where the second place was won. The Silver daughter has already manage to produce a lifetime production of 72,716 kgM. With the fantastic individual qualities that the Van Wichen family had brought and show, an impressive herd's group could be made and was crowned in the finals with a Reserve title!
