It was time for a new classification round at the Van der Steege dairy farm, also known as Rhala Holsteins and Excellent Genetics. This time, no less than 23 animals were classified with a great average total score of 84.5, including the 3rd calver Rhala Lieke 6 VG-87 (s. Rubicon), granddaughter of DKR Sandy Valley Lexus VG-85. With Lexus as her granddam, Lieke 6 is part of the Savage-Leigh Bellwood Linda EX-92 family.
Van der Steege is currently milking six descendants from the Savage-Leigh Bellwood Linda line with an average score of 84.5. Another impressive cow family is the Rhala Daydream family. This classification round counted six Daydreams with a high average score of VG 86.6. Highest scored heifer was Daydream 40, an All Star daughter from a VG-88 Loptimum. She scored VG-87 / VG-88 DS. Her full sister Daydream 54 also got a great classification score of VG-87 / VG-88 FL. This family impresses among others by the tremendous milk production, but also because of its fantastic pedigree. The Daydreams are descending from the one and only Markwell Blackstar Raven EX-95 through Markwell Durham Daisy EX-92.
