13th VOST Select Sale impresses with strong selling prices
The 13th VOST Select Sale, held on 28 November in the Ostfrieslandhalle in Leer, delivered an impressive result. Under the direction of auctioneer Nici Nosbisch, 69 lots were sold, with active bidding both in the hall and online via FarmersBid.com. With an average price of €6,230 and a sales rate of 97.2%, the sale surpassed last year's results.
Top prices for calves, 2-yr-olds and pregnant heifers
There was strong demand for fresh 2-yr-olds and heavily pregnant heifers. The most expensive milkers was Gerbera, a Collin daughter, sold for €9,500. Among the pregnant animals, Millen Lambda Arcadia stood out, selling for €7,500. The average price of the milking 2-yr-olds reached an excellent €5,830.
The absolute highlights of the evening were achieved by the following calves:
- HMH Mathilde P (by Argentum, gRZG 161) sold for €25,000.
- KNS Bremer Brücke (by Argentum, gRZG 164) followed with €22,000.
- EHL Seerose PP Red, a Dean Red P daughter, reached €17,500.
International interest
In addition to German buyers, multiple animals found new owners abroad, including in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. Thanks to the broad offering and strong market atmosphere, the VOST Select Sale team can look back on a highly successful edition.
