Classification at Drouner Holsteins: a great day for the classifier!
Winning herdgroup at National HHH-Show
Last week two classifiers had a great day: scoring cows at Drouner Holsteins, family Albring.
Top from start untill end
As you know, family Albring is one of the best herd in Holland. This classification was one of the best ever: 14 st calvers wre classified with an average of 85.8 points! No less than five were classified VG-87 and one was classified with the maximum score of VG-89! Next to that 8 older cows (2nd lactation untill 7th) raised their score: from VG-88 up to EX-90! The 109 cows in the herd have an average of 85.7 points, one of the highest in Holland!
Highlights out of the Mientje cowfamily
The Drouner Mientje has always been the most important cowfamily at Albring. That is still the case, the Mientje family still can compete easily with new cowfamilies from Northern Amerca! Mientje 885, a 7th lactation Classic daughter with 84.000kgM lifetime got EX-90! Mientje 1108 (Vaucluse) and Mientje 1209 (Dempsey) received VG-88 and VG-89 in 4th and 3rd lactation. Mientje 1276 (Jotan), who also acted in the winning herd group of Albringin the National HHH Show, was classified VG-88 with VG-89-MS in 2nd lactation.
Also two cows were classified with the maximum score, both from the Mientje family as well! Mientje 1299 (Dempsey) got VG-89 with VG-89-MS in 2nd lactation. The most special one was Mientje 1368 (Impression) with VG-89 as a two-year-old! She also got the maximum scores for Frame, Dairy Strneght and udder! Futhermore she produces no less than 40kgM a day!
Highlight from American cowfamilies
Two more cows got VG-89, both form international well respected cowfamiliesof Larcrest Cosmopolitan and Canyon-Breeze Wst Amber! Drouner AJDH Gold Cosco (Gold Chip) was classified VG-89 with 89 udder and EX-90 feet and legs! Drouner Asmara 1223 (a 3rd lactation Mogul) got VG-89 with EX-90-MS!
In a few months we expect more cows to get higher scores at Albring, keep an eye on our website!
