New at GenHotel is Prairie Hoeve Holsteins owned by Alex Verwaijen. The Verwaijen family does not longer own a dairy farm but they do still own several interesting (show)cows and heifers. Just thinks of the famous Goldwyn daughter Marie 356 EX-92, the Grand Champion from the HHH-Show 2014 & 2015, who is still owned by Prarie Hoeve Holsteins. Marie 356 is housed at Koeweide Holsteins (fam. Jonkers) and she has calved recently for the 5th time. Her lifetime total is now up to 61.609 kg of milk with 3.59% protein.

Prairie Hoeve Holsteins also received a lot of publicity due to the performance of cows from their homebred Hendrika family. For example Prairie Hoeve Hendrika 39, an EX-91 classified Goldwyn daughter. She was named Reserve Intermediate Champion at both the NRM and HHH-Show in 2014. Another excellent Goldwyn daughter from this family is Prairie Hoeve Hendrika 30 EX-90. She is the dam to the Brawler son Prairie Hoeve Headhunter at KI Kampen.

Several cows bred by Prairie Hoeve Holsteins entered the ring at the NRM 2017. Prairie Hoeve Jolanda 134, owned by Koeweide Holsteins, was placed 2nd in her Intermediate class. This Jordan daughter is now classified with the maximum score of VG-89. Herdmate Prairie Hoeve Maggie 82 VG-88 was placed 1st in her class and entered the finals. The Golden Dream daughter managed to win the Honourable Mention Junior 2-Yr Old title.

Aiko 1288 Red was named Honourable Mention Junior 2-Yr Old from the R&W show at the NRM 2017. Her pedigree goes via an VG-87 Freddie back at KHW Goldwyn Aiko RC EX-91 (Goldwyn x Kamps-Hollow Durham Altitude EX-95).
