HBC Shottle Daydream; great broodcow!
HBC Shottle Daydream was owned by Schep Holsteins and seems to be a great broodcow. Her impact was shown at the NRM (Dutch National Show). Several members of this family where present at the NRM. Anyone who knows the pedigree of Daydream is not really surprised by her performance as a broodcow. Her pedigree traces through daughters of BW Marshall, Jolt and Elton (full sister to Durham) back at Snow-N Denises Dellia EX-95.
NRM
At the NRM the capabilities of Shottle Daydream where shown by her daughters and granddaughters. Her Atwoood daughter, HBC Atwood Daydream, was placed 4th in her class. She is owned by Schep Holsteins and was classified VG-88 the week after the NRM. Her elder Alexander halfsister, HBC Alexander-Daydream (owner: VOF de Bruin, Giessenburg) was placed 3rd in her class (intermediate section). She was placed over HBC Goldwyn Daydream (Schep Holsteins), a Goldwyn daughter of Shottle Daydream.
A full sister (with the same name!) from this last mentioned cow was placed 4th in another intermediate class. This HBC Goldwyn Daydream is owned by Future Dream Holsteins and was the Reserve Junior Champion of the NRM 2012. Her Snowmandaughters, also owned by Future Dream and both classified VG-88, where placed 3rd and 6th in their class (second class with milking 2-yr olds). Goldwyn Daydream is classified EX-91 (with EX-93-MS) last week.
Herd classification
During the last herd classification at Schep Holsteins several more daughters and granddaughters of Shottle Daydream where classified. A Lauthority is classified VG-87 and 2 Fever daughters are scored VG-85 and VG-86. A Dempsey granddaughter is classified VG-85 and a Damion granddaughter is classified VG-87.
The Dellia family is one of the best breeding cowfamilies in the World. Members of this family show this over and over again and the Daydream line is no exception.
