Numbers 1, 2 & 3 RZG R&W delivered by K&L
Poppe Red Mist, the #1 RZG bull in Germany
From the top 50 RZG R&W (proven bulls) at least 20 (40%) are delivered through K&L. Among those bulls the complete top 3 and out of the top 10, 6 bulls are delivered by K&L.
Off course it’s very interesting to find out which cowfamilies and breeders are behind those bulls...
Red Mist
The #1 R&W RZG bull from August is Poppe Red Mist, an Elbrun son of Poppe Pietje 519-Red (Spencer x VG-86 Roumare x VG-86 Faber x Pietje 514). A full brother to Red Mist, Poppe Elspe Red, is the #7. Their dam, Pietje 519-Red, turns out to be one of the most successful broodcows from the last decade as she is also the dam to Poppe Snow RF (Snowman), the current #7 on the B&W RZG list.
Pietje 519-Red is sold as an embryo to Poppe Holsteins through K&L and Red Mist is sold as an embryo through the GenHotel Selection Sale.
Morris & Julandy
The numbers 2 and 3 are Dukefarm Morris and Julandy. Morris is a Fidelity son bred by Dukefarm Holsteins. His dam is Dukefarm Spencer Mallory and her pedigree goes through 89 points daughters of Duplex and Stadel back at Apina Massia 20 VG-89.
Julandy is an Andy son of Julia 389 VG-86, a Moonlight daughter of Julia 382 EX-92 (Stadel). This family, owned by Werler Holsteins, is very successful. Julia 382 is for example the dam to Lowland Bolero (Lawn Boy), by far the #1 NVI bull in the Netherlands.

Fiction son Voorhof Brilliant is bred by Voorhof Holsteins. His dam is also a Spencer daughter; Green-Valley Allure-Red VG-87. This pedigree goes through the Etazon Annecy VG-87 family back at Plushanski Chief Faith EX-94. Allure-Red is sold through the GenHotel Selection Sale to Voorhof Holsteins.
Willem’s Hoeve Dekade hails from the well-known Rita family from the Willem’s Hoeve. The dam to this Destry son is Willem’s Hoeve Rita 0438 Red VG-87, a Mr Burns x VG-88 Lightning x VG-88 Marshall x Willem’s Hoeve Rita 233A EX-92. This family is very successful and the #1 NVI bull (B&W), Willem’s Hoeve R Browning (Snowman), hails from this family as well.
