De Wijde Blik Liberty EX-91, important show- and broodcow
New at GenHotel is De Wijde Blik of the Nijman-Ekkelkamp family. Their farm is established in Stegeren in the province of Overijssel (East of the Netherlands). Gerard Nijman has invested in high quality embryos through the K&L Embryoprogram the last years. Several interesting heifers are born out of this program owned in partnership with K&L. In the herd at De Wijde Blik you can find offspring backed by the Apina Nadja, MS Kingstead Chief Adeen, Koepon Regenia, Tirsvad Luke Classic, Markwell Durham Daisy and Southland Dellia/Belle family.

Dellia’s
From the Dellia family, for example, hails De Wijde Blik K&L Dellana, a +310 GNVI / +154 GRZG Penley daughter of Manders Dellia 8 (G-Force x Manders Dellia 1 VG-87). Dellana has also a Fergus half-sister. This De Wijde Blik K&L Delilah scores +140 GRZG / +254 GNVI. Also backed by this family is De Wijde Blik K&L LS Dellia, a +146 GRZG / +243 GNVI Lesson daughter. Her dam is the high producing K&L SG Dellia VG-87 (Shotglass x Southland Dellia 9765 VG-86).
Homebred Liberty’s
The most eye-catching “homebred” family at De Wijde Blik is with no doubt the Liberty family. The most important broodcow from this family is De Wijde Blik Liberty EX-91 (Juror Bond x EX-90 Lord Lily x VG-88 Blackstar). This Juror Bond daughter is the dam to De Wijde Blik Liberty 5, a VG-89 classified Mr Sam daughter who is the dam to De Wijde Blik Liberty 8 RDC VG-88 (Classic).
Liberty is, through her Roumare daughter, also the granddam of De Wijde Blik Liberty 7 EX-90. This Duplex daughter is a very successful showcow for De Wijde Blik. She was placed 3rd in her class at the NRM 2014 and was named Grand Champion at “De Bissende Koe” in Ommen. This Grand Champion title was claimed by more members of the Liberty family. As well Liberty (Juror Bond), Liberty 7 (Duplex), Liberty 5 (Mr Sam) as Liberty 8 RDC (Classic) are named “Bissende Koe” at least once in their life!
