New at GenHotel: De Veelhorst Holsteins
New at GenHotel is “De Veelhorst Holsteins” owned by Jan and Reinolda Krooneman, Nunspeet, the Netherlands. In 2013 a brand-new barn was built and put in to operation. This barn can house 125 cows. The cows are milked by 2 Merlin milk robots from Fullwood and the production of the herd averages 10.000 kg of milk with 3.50% protein.
Larcrest Cosmopolitan
The last few years Jan and Reinolda started investing in topgenetics. One of their recent purchases is Wilder China, bought through the GenHotel Selection Sale. China is a very high +161 GRZG Damaris out of a Shotglass of Drouner AJDH Cosmo, a VG-87 Freddie daughter of Larcrest Cosmopolitan (see picture). Also from this family hails Go-Farm Karaoke, a +2583 GTPI Silver daughter. Her dam is Bouw Supersire Kathy, a Supersire daughter of Tirsvad Freddie Cosmopolitan VG-85, also a Freddie daughter of Cosmopolitan and thus a full sister to Drouner AJDH Cosmo.
Well-known families
Besides the Cosmopolitan family you can find descendents from other well-known cowfamilies at De Veelhorst. CCN Lorena, for example, is a +256 GNVI / +147 GRZG Shotglass from the Robthom Ivory Mark EX-94 family. From the Snow-N Denises Dellia EX-95 family hails the very fancy Alpine daughter HS Wisconsin. Her dam is the EX-92 classified Damion daughter Bremer Damion Wendy and her pedigree goes through daughters by Goldwyn, Blitz, Patron and Melwood back at Dellia.
Another interesting Shotglass daughter is Eastview Blanche. With +162 GRZG she is among the top GRZG heifers on German basis. She is backed by Eastview Blak M Mattie G VG-87, the dam to the bull Eastview Influence Mattie G. Lasts but not least is NH HS Missouri Lazifa, a +161 GRZG / +2535 GTPI Missouri daughter. Her dam is a Numero Uno daughter from a VG-85 Planet out of an EX-90 Shottle daughter of “One Million Dollar Cow” Lylehaven Lila Z EX-94.
