Hedra Delta Jessi 477 VG-89
Hedra Holsteins had a fantastic evening last Friday at the Wintershow in Houten. Hedra Holsteins took 5 cows to the show and all 5 made it to the finals. Snowfever daughter Hedra Delta Jessi 477 was named Junior 2-yr Old Champion. She is the dam to Delta Jupiler, a +335 GNVI Amigo son owned by CRV. Another 2-yr old from Hedra Holsteins that was among the last 5 was Hedra Lize 520 RDC. The dam to this Danno daughter is Hedra Delta Lizelot VG-85, the Jerudo dam to Delta Detective @ CRV.
Delta Hind
The 3rd lactation cows had to compete in the Senior cows classes in Houten. This class was won by Jannie 208, a Jordan daughter of VOG Groot Nieuwenhuizen. Following her in 2nd and 3rd where Hunter daughter Hedra Delta Marie 8 VG-88 and herdmate Delta Hind (Snowman) owned by Hedra Holsteins. Finally Delta Hind was named “honourable mention” behind Jannie 208 and Marie 151 (s. Sunrise; Owner: VOF Korrel), who won the eldest class in Houten.
Delta Alana
Also competing in the class with eldest cows was JK Eder Delta Alana RDC EX-90. This 10 year old Mascol daughter of Alumette VG-89 (Lightning x EX-91 Stadel x EX-90 Lica) produced almost 100.000 of milk and had to compete against cows that where much younger. Despite that she was placed 2nd in her class. Quite an accomplishment.
Alana RDC has already interesting great-granddaughters. Hedra Alumette 723 Red is a +284 GNVI Armada daughter. Her dam is Hedra Alumette 523 Red VG-86, a Colorado granddaughter of Alana. Hedra Alumette 722 RDC is a Brasil sister to Alumette 723. She scores +220 GNVI on B&W basis.
